Grant Finishes Strong
Gavin's Utah Flash might have fallen in the D-League Finals 2 games to none, but Gavin's stock did nothing but rise. In Game 2 of the Finals Gavin had 11 points and 6 rebounds in 19 minutes of action. He continued his torrid shooting in the Finals by shooting 3-5 from the field and 5-6 from the stripe. Gavin's cumulative numbers in the D-League Finals are as follows: 15 mpg, 10 ppg, 4rpg, 64% FG% and 86% FT%. We congratulate Gavin on the success he had in his first season of professional ball and expect that brighter days lie ahead.

7 Responses to "Grant Finishes Strong"Congrats to Gavin. Keep working hard.
Congrats, hope he keeps working hard and can get a shot in the NBA.
with those kinds of numbers why is he only getting 15 mpg
^The SF that starts for the Flash averaged 18 a game and dropped 37 in Game 1 of the finals.
another pro developed by Sid,yes
I'm living in Salt Lake City after graduating and went to see Gavin play a couple weeks ago. Offensively, he's about the same. A little turnover prone, decent in the open court, streaky shooter. But defensively, he's a monster. He doesn't foul a lot, gets blocks and steals, draws charges, and plays lock down on the ball D. I was impressed. If Dahntay Jones can have a career doing that with the Nuggets, I see no reason why Gavin can't make it in a a couple years with some experience and a little more discipline. His length and quickness are hard to beat.
On a side note, NBDL games are the ugliest affairs I have ever seen. There's a reason most of them aren't in the NBA.
Gavin's minutes are low because he plays behind a couple guys that are signed to the Celtics and Jazz, so they get the most minutes.
Thanks WPH once again you top the list . I hear Sid was at a game or two as well
