Mychal Parker: Profile

HEIGHT: 6'6
WEIGHT: 195
POSITION: SF
CLASS: 2010
TEAM: Miller School (VA)
STARS: Rivals and Scout-4 Stars
ESPN Grade: 95
STATUS: Prospect
Offers: Arkansas, Virginia Tech, Clemson, Florida, Miami, Virginia, East Carolina

DESCRIPTION:
Mychal Parker is a high school senior in a man's body. He's built like a rock and knows how to use his frame to his advantage. At 6'6 you may feel like Parker is a tweener, but that is where you'd be wrong. Mychal plays the consummate SF game. He attacks the rim with a hunger not seen by many at his level. He does not shy away from contact, in fact, he welcomes it. Most of his finishing is done above the rim as he loves to get up and throw down. His above average handles and quickness for his size make him an extremely hard cover. Couple that with the soft jumpshot he's been working on and you have yourself a complete player. His basketball IQ and his team first attitude is just the icing on the cake with Parker. Whichever school can land this kid will sure up their SF slot for a few years.

Luke Cothron: Profile

Height: 6'9
Weight: 220
Position: PF
Class: 2010
Team: Flora MacDonald (Red Springs, NC)
Stars: Scout and Rivals - 5 Stars (Scout #16, Rivals #17)
Status: Prospect
Offers: NC State, UCONN, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Tennessee, Georgetown, Florida State, Florida, Oklahoma State, Virginia, Alabama, Arkansas, Virginia Tech, UAB, Auburn, Cincinnati
AAU Team: Boo Williams

Description:

Take a quick glance at Cothron's offer list and you begin to wonder...who hasn't offered Luke Cothron? Luke is a 6'9 'big' who literally fills the roll of the point guard from time to time on his high school and AAU squad. He has no problem putting the ball onto the floor. He has reminded many recruiting analysts of Pervis Ellison with his game and his a haircut. Luke has very good footwork in the post and has a fairly mature post-game repertoire for his age. He has a nice touch around the basket and he also has a nice stroke on his jump shot. Cothron isn't the least bit shy when it comes to poppin from behind the arch. His height and length make him a dangerous shot blocker and a vacuum for rebounds. Cothron was the definition of production this past season for Flora MacDonald. He averaged a ridiculous double-double of 30 points and 20 rebounds a game. Coach Lowe personally offered this young man a scholarship after the Maryland game this season. Luke also made it to the game vs. UNC earlier in the season. The fact that he is familiar with some of the soon-to-be Pack players definitely doesn't hurt our chances. He has played against Richard Howell and Lorenzo Brown and speaks very highly of their ability. The addition of Cothron would put together a ridiculous class in 2010.

Reco McCarter: Profile

Height: 6'7
Weight: 187
Position: SF
Class: 2010
Team: Wayne Country Day (Goldsboro, NC)
Stars: Rivals and Scout - 3 Stars
ESPN Grade: 90
Status: Prospect
Offers: NC State, Clemson, Virginia Tech

Description:

The potential for Reco McCarter is limitless and his ceiling is sky high. He is 6'7 and runs the fast break like he is a point guard. In fact the fast break is where McCarter thrives. He has great handles for someone his size and can go coast to coast in the blink of an eye. If this lefty were to be described in one word it would be the word explosive. He loves to attack the rim and is ferocious in his approach. Reco is also a skilled passer on the break and within the half-court offense. He has a well-developed spin move that seems to be his bread and butter. His quickness and length make McCarter a nightmare on defense. Lack of effort is not in his vocabulary: he plays his heart out. Truth be told, this wonderful attribute leads to his weaknesses as well. Reco plays with so much energy that he can at times be out of control and take poor shots. He also needs to work on his perimeter shot. If Reco can harness some of his energy (mentally and physically) and develop his perimeter shot, he will be a nightmare of a mismatch in college. Even though Wake Forest hasn't officially offered Reco yet, most people think that they are a major contender as well. Reco is the #22 SF in the 2010 class and the 128th player overall.

HEIGHT: 6'9
WEIGHT: 190lbs
POSITION: SF, PF
CLASS: 2010
TEAM: Word of God Christian Academy (Raleigh, NC)
STARS: Scout 5 Stars and Rivals 4 Stars (Scout #12, Rivals #51)
ESPN Grade: 97
STATUS: Prospect
Offers: NC State, Kentucky, Florida, Miami, Michigan St. and Arizona State
AAU Team: Lake Norman Wizards

Description:
CJ Leslie is only beginning to understand what he is capable of when he steps onto the court. This kid has the body and the skill set to become a Kevin Garnett Lite. He has the athletic ability to play and star at a high major, he has better hands than most players at his position, a shot with very good form, and the handles of a guard. This kid is going to be very special for the Wolfpack program. His footwork and quickness are almost unheard of in a man his size and his lust for the thunderous dunk or the mid game 360 will have the crowd on its toes at every moment. According to Scout, Leslie checks in as the number 4 PF in the nation.

Ryan Harrow: Profile

HEIGHT: 6'0
WEIGHT: 158
POSITION: PG
CLASS: 2010
TEAM: Walton High School (Marietta, GA)
STARS: Rivals 5 Stars and Scout 4 Stars (Rivals #25 and Scout #50)
ESPN Grade: 95
STATUS: Committed
AAU Team: Atlanta Celtics

Description:
Harrow is a small point guard with extreme quickness, magical handles, and a juicy jumper from anywhere on the floor. He stands at a not so intimidating 6'0, but Harrow sports the skills to become an elite point guard in the ACC. He is smart, crafty and has some of the best ball handling skills we've seen outside of the AND 1 mix tape. He was very under the radar before NC State stepped in, but since he's been in the spotlight Harrow has done nothing but impress. He's going to be a very good one.
