Wall Shocked By Rumors

Apparently the roller coaster of John Wall's recruitment goes for yet one more flip. All of the hustle and bustle over the past two days concerning John entering the NBA draft via some unknown loop hole can now be put to rest. In fact it was John himself who quieted the grumbling. He told the USAToday:

"I was kind of shocked," he said of ESPN reports that he was contemplating entering the draft.
"I've never considered it, never thought about it. You don't have to worry about me not going to college. I promised my mom and my dad, before he died, that I wouldn't go from high school to the NBA."

While we are on the topic of John, don't forget that John will be playing in the Jordan Brand Classic on Saturday night. The game will be at 8pm and it will be nationally televised on ESPN2. We have heard that John could narrow his list down to three at this event (At one point it was thought that he would announce his college decision at this event). I'm looking forward to watching Juicy John do his thing.

Man, I am going to DVR that! I'll look forward to hearing some news. Some may call me crazy, but I feel like John may end up in Raleigh, where he belongs. BTW, I know that you wouldn't call me crazy, WPH. This whole thing is getting a bit out of hand, and he is starting to get a taste of big time media scrutiny. That can't be easy as a 18-19 year old young man. He can keep his support system in tact for another year (or two) in Raleigh. Don't let it get to you JW.

Even though you made the question as fair as possible it still has its difficulties. Before I give any explanation you should know that our answer is Ryan. Any day of the week we would rather have a player who is completely devoted to this university, program and coaching staff. Also, I know Ryan personally, and I know the type of person he is. I know that he is a polite young man that has great character. By no means am I inferring that John doesn't, I just don't know him personally the way I know Ryan. Let's be real...watching a John Wall highlight reel is freakish. But I don't think Ryan has even scratched the surface of the player he can become. The highlight reels he put out this past season as a Junior in one of the most talented regions in the country are ridiculous. If Ryan adds anymore height and size I believe he will be nearly impossible to stop. I know anywhere Ryan goes he makes the team better. He is a positive influence on the players around him. Watching tons of his game film has shown me the type of teammate he is. He is constantly encouraging all of his teammates. He has the stable presence that a point guard is supposed to possess. With that being said, I believe John deserves the accolades that are thrown his way. That should also tell you how much I think of Ryan's game. How bout this...I'd love to have both.
