ATLANTA CELTICS vs. DC ASSAULT
In the first round of the final tournament, Ryan Harrow and company had quite the task. DC Assault was sporting some big names in Tyler Thornton and Joshua Hairston, both 2010 Duke commits. Harrow vs. Thornton was the matchup that everyone was waiting for, however it didn't turn out to be the scrappy head to head showdown many were anticipating. Harrow and Thornton were back and forth to start the game and Thornton seemed to be the one in control...that was until Ryan crossed left, spun right and finished with a scoop shot over Hairston. From that point on it became the Ryan Harrow show. With fellow 2010 NC State recruit Mychal Parker watching from the sidelines in awe, Ryan dazzled those in attendance by scoring at will over the Duke commit. He had the ball on a string as he split triple teams with ease and finished with contact almost every time he got in the paint. We've seen a lot of basketball and a lot of AAU players, but none like Ryan Harrow. This is one of the more unique talents on the circuit right now. His ability to make split second decisions correctly on the break on a consistent basis is mind boggling. Ryan finished with 26 points and around 7 assists. Walking out of the Dean Dome the exiting fans were buzzing about #4, and they should be after witnessing another stellar performance by the NC State commit. We'll have the video of this sometime tomorrow, and it's definitely a must see.
Ryan will play at 9am tomorrow in the Dean Dome and will continue to play until they lose.

Sounds like you guy's are making the most of your long weekend. Great work covering this exciting weekend and sunday should be interesting to say the least.
Well, the N & O printed a small biography on Reggie Bullock and did another article for Tyler Thornton this am- no mention of Ryan and what he will bring to the TOC this weekend and to Tobacco Road basketball in the not to distant future- Whoops.
Congrat's to Ryan and his teammates for getting into the Qrt finals. There will be some hard hitters out there for sure but from the sounds of it the Celtics are and Mr Harrow are in it to win it.

Harrow is unbelievable. In the year 2010, we will have a 10 star back court. Zo Brown is very underrated. Before he got hurt during his junior year he was the number 15 overall player by scout.com. Nobody seems to realize this. FYI, Wolfpack Hoops, I want to fund your California trip next weekend. What's the best way to get in touch with you?
Don't know about the rest of you, but I was excited thinking about Ryan dicing up those Dookies again very soon.

i worry. while i am 61 and don't like to wish the remaining part of my life away, i want the november signing period to get here as soon as possible so that Ryan Harrow is in the fold. sbas2
Harrow can expect some schools to start coming after him.
^^ For some reason I feel Ryan understands he can be Mythical figure for years to come at NC State. He has skill I haven't seen at state in my 15 years of being a fan and passion that appears to rival Julius Hodge. Ryan is going to return the Pack to prominence and become a household name in doing so. With the talent coming in this year and next he has the calibre of team he'll need to compete for championships and judging by his panache he is the type of person that would rather lead the way than be a cog in one of the other juggernauts.
At other "Elite" schools he can be on a great team. But at State he has the opportunity with the talent coming in around him to be seen as a Messiah and appreciated as a HERO for the rest of his life. Like Blake Griffin he will become a household name. I bet he knows this and who wouldn't be excited to be the man at State, with a coach that has proven he gets his players "IN" with the NBA coaches. If his play is as good as it appears to be, he'll get plenty of airtime on the major networks.

And WPH, I told you Davis took Mabry's scholarship and that's still true. Mabry TURNED DOWN State awhile back. If the offer "was no longer good" when you said it was (in November) then why was Larry Harris, Simon Harris and Brandon Costner at his games during the GSK in December.
It's not State who backed out, it was Mabry. The staff then said 'fine, we think Davis is just as good as you if we can redshirt him' and moved on.

Rest assure that if Sid Lowe is here Ryan will be too- no if's ands or buts. I had the opportunity to speak with family yesterday sitting center court at Reynolds and the only thing to say is don't anyone fall back on the old "we're State so there must be some catch coming here". Not this time.
