Final Update From the Jayhawk Invitational

****** Sunday Afternoon Update - Game 7 - The Celtics's run this weekend has come to an end. They just lost in the Semi-Finals 95-80. Even though the team lost, Ryan went out with a bang, scoring 30 points in his final game in Kansas. The Celtics had a 5-2 record in the Jayhawk Invitational this weekend and Ryan averaged 19 points in the 7 contests. Ryan also made the 1st Team All-Tournament team. Congrats Ryan!

*****Sunday Morning Update - Game 6 - The Atlanta Celtics roll on. They won in the 9:10am Quarter Finals Game 89-87 and Harrow had 19 points in the victory. They move on to the 11:30am Semi-Finals with ambitions of making it to the 3pm finals.

****Saturday Night Update Volume 2 - Game 5 - The Atlanta Celtics have now won 4 straight games by 15 points or more. Last night's 10pm game resulted in their biggest blowout yet. The Celtics won 89-65 and Ryan had 11 points and 5 assists, again in limited minutes. They will play again on Sunday at 9:10am.

***Saturday Night Update - Game 4 - The Celtics margin of victory just continues to increase as the day goes on. They won their 7:40 game by 22 points by the score of 74-52. Ryan played limited minutes and put up 9 points and 7 assists. The limited action was due to the fact that the game was a blowout from the start. The game started out with the Celtics scoring the first 18 points of the game. They play tonight at 10pm.

**Saturday Afternoon Update Volume 2 - Game 3 - The Atlanta Celtics handled their business against the St. Louis Raptors. Ryan had 20 points and 8 assists in the 99-79 blowout. They have moved out of pool play with a 2-1 record and they will play again at 7:40pm. Stay tuned.

*Saturday Afternoon Update - Game 2 - After being tied with the KC Cowboys at halftime 43-43, the Atlanta Celtics poured it on them in the second half to secure a 93-78 victory. Ryan had 17 points and 8 assists in the contest. At this moment they are playing against the St. Louis Raptors. We'll keep you updated. The Celtics are 1-1 in pool play at this point.

Last night the Atlanta Celtics lost to Net Gain Sports 72-70, but Ryan Harrow put on a show. Unfortunately Ryan's 27 points did not equal a Celtics win, but they will suit back up today at 1:50 vs. the KC Cowboys. It doesn't fail, another weekend comes along, and Ryan keeps turning heads. Stay posted as we will continue to update you after Ryan's games today.

Is this cat gonna be on tv anytime soon?

Also, has anybody asked him what his intentions are concerning staying in school?

Not until next season if he makes the McDonald game or Jordan game, which surely is a possibility if he continues to move up in the rankings.

I'm not sure he's been asked that question much based on his size, but it is a question worth asking if he builds his body up or if he grows to be as tall as some are projecting. We'll ask.

Another thing WPH brings are great tid bits of info gathered during what comes across as candid interviews.

A ways back either in an interview with Ryan of a news clip posted here I read that he plans on staying at Walton to graduation (prime time prep schools do some recruiting for sure). Ryan mentioned that some basketball teammates from summer AAU team WW Renegades would be coming aboard next year and he was really looking forward to more success at Walton.

Any word on when Ryan is going to suit up with WW again since he's gone hired gun so far?

    Jose,
Thanks! According to Ryan, he'll only be playing with Team Atlanta and the Atlanta Celtics unless he's looking to play a random tourny or two with Mychal Parker.

    Anonymous,
Nothing yet. Remember guys, the trip lasts until Sunday. We won't know anything until then.

I believe the AAU team he was talking about with regards to transfers was Team Atlanta. Think Kamren Belin (played w/ Zo on Centennial this year) might be one of them

An Indiana fan here. We recently received a verbal from the Atlanta Celtics' David Williams, but information on him seems to be somewhat vague? Has he had an impact on this winning streak for the Celts?

a lot of his HS games are shown live via webcast, so you will be able to catch him online a lot his senior season. The quality is actually very good. Also, I believe he will be playing in the Gibbons tourney, so you can watch him live in Raleigh soon.

Nice blog; great to see the passion and dedication to NC State.

From an IU fan, wondering if you saw David Williams (recent IU commit) play this weekend with the Celtics? If so, can you give honest assessment of his game?

We've had very few accounts of his game and his commitment surprised us.

    Thanks!

    wolfpack4eva -

Sorry not sure exactly how many minutes he played in the two blowouts. I just know it was limited action because they were trying to save their legs for today.

To the two Indiana posters -

Glad you made your way here to WolfpackHoops. I will call Ryan and get him to give me an assessment of Williams. If you want to e-mail me at wolfpackhoopsblog@gmail.com I will e-mail you what I get.

    Jose,
About the World Wide Renegades team he played with last year....he is still with them, however they changed their team name to "Team Atlanta"

So it's the same team with the same players...some of which will be following Ryan to Walton, hopefully.

Again- what can you say about Ryan except that this guy loves to compete. Congrat's young man on completing another long weekend of elite AAU basketball with a lot to be proud of and the accolades and extra attention you deserve.

Thanks for clearing up the Team Atlanta/ WW Renegades thing- baffled a little there. Ryan will be the fourth player from this AAU team to suit up for the Wolfpack by next year- atleast one in 3 out of 4 classes Lowe has recruited. Hopefully we'll see if any of the players coming to Walton will be '10 or '11 guys who may get a look the Pack.

WPH, who are some of ryans teammates? Parker or anyone else we're recruiting? If so, let's show them some love too. Sorry if it's already been reported I didn't really take the time to check.

Ryan will be joined on the Celtics by Jordan McRae (4 Star), who is committed to Tennessee; Trae Golden (4 Star), who is uncommitted, but holds offers from Kentucky, Pitt, Marquette and Georgia Tech; David Williams (2 Star), who is committed to Indiana, along with others.

NC State is not offering or actively recruiting any of the above players, however Mychal Parker played in an AllStar game this weekend and we'll have the stats and update on it tomorrow.

We are doing our best to only focus on recruits that we are actually recruiting. A lot of the other State sites out there are so broad and throw names around like crazy, making it confusing and hard to follow Pack recruiting. We try to keep this site simple, clean and positive... Hope you understand.
