Centennial Dismantles Father Carr

Centennial kept their hopes alive of winning two high school tournaments in a row. They beat Father Carr 64-40 by what is around their season average for margin of victory: 24 points. Lorenzo Brown had 23 points (9-13 FG) 4 assists, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals. He is averaging 21.5 ppg on the year. This marks 4 straight games that Brown has scored 20+ points and his 7th 20 point effort in 8 games.

Quotes from Brown and Centennial's coach Whiteheart via WRAL:

“It was a change, but I liked it a lot,” Brown said. “I felt welcome.”

“N.C. State’s lucky to get him,” said Centennial coach Allen Whitehart. “I think he’s going to do great things for N.C. State. He’s the ultimate basketball player. He does everything well.”

Centennial improves to 7-1 on the year and appears to be dominant. They will play again on Monday night at 5:40 against Knightdale.
