Lorenzo Brown led Centennial to the championship of the Prep All-Stars Holiday Invitational in Charlotte. Lorenzo had 25 points (11-18 FG), 7 rebounds, 7 steals, and 6 assists. He was rewarded the Most Outstanding Player award for the Holiday Classic. Centennial is now 6-1 on the season. Lorenzo is averaging 21.29 ppg. Lo-Brown and company will get a short Christmas break and then play in the Glaxo tourney in Raleigh this weekend.
Walton beat Butler 76-65 to finish third in the Invitational. Ryan Harrow finished with yet another 30+ point performance. He had 30 points (12-22 FG, 4-9 3PT), 10 assists, and 3 steals. He was the only player elected to the All-Tournament team that was not in the championship game. Ryan is now averaging 32.12 ppg. Walton is now 5-3 and they will be back in action on December 27th in the Schnucks Holiday Classic in Collinsville, Illinois.
It is a shame that we didn't get to see a Lo-Brown vs. Harrow match up in the Championship game. I guess we will have to wait until January 16th when the two will go head to head in a game at Centennial.
