Word of God lost 66-55 today to Arlington Country Day in the Challenge Round of the City of Palms Classic in Florida. C.J. Leslie kept his steady play up with 22 points on 9-of-15 shooting, along with 5 boards, 2 blocks, and 2 steals. John Wall put up the fantasy game that we expect to see out of him by finishing with 15 points, 6 assists, 6 rebounds, 4 blocks, and 2 steals. John found some medicine for his turnover ailment because he only committed 2 turnovers to turn in a 3:1 assist/turnover ratio. This is encouraging to see out of the Raleigh stud.
This was a devastating tournament for Word of God because they lost 3 of their 4 games. Word of God is now sitting at .500 with a record of 5-5.
C.J. Leslie is averaging 17.33 ppg and John Wall is averaging 18 ppg. C.J. has really impressed me this year with his consistent and efficient performances as he continues to shoot well from the field and rebound strong.
