Walton slaughtered Kell last night 100-69. They were led as usual by Junior dreamweaver Ryan Harrow who finished with 34 points. These numbers would be career highs for most high school players, but they have become the norm for Harrow. Oh, we forgot to mention that he didn't even play in the 4th. Walton improved to 10-4 on the year and 3-1 in Regional play. Harrow is now averaging 30.8 ppg and Walton will be back in action tonight at home against Peachtree Ridge.
Marion also had trouble finding competition last night as they beat Eastbrook 85-36. Scott Wood is starting to get comfortable scoring 30 a game as he did so for the third straight game. He had 31 points (10-14 FG), with 24 of them coming before halftime. Did we mention that this dead-eye went 5-5 from deep. Wood is now averaging 28.7 ppg and Marion will play again tonight at home versus Manual.
17.6
Word of God gained some confidence last night as they beat Trinity Christian 74-62 to improve to 8-7 on the year. Wall and Leslie both splattered the box score. Wall had 18 points, 10 assists, 6 rebounds, 3 blocks, and 3 steals. Leslie had 19 points, 11 rebounds, and 4 blocks. This is the type of balanced play that will turn WOG's season around. John Wall is averaging 18.2 amd Leslie is averaging 17.6 ppg.
