Favors plays in AAA level and did make 1st team All-State.... though not POY for the AAA level. Howell, Harrow, and Brown all play in the AAAAA state level. Brown was POY.

On another note, the AA state level POY was Rashard Smith who is also coming to NC State to play football.

Favors isn't on the list because South Atlanta plays in Class AAA. Favors was actually named Mr. Basketball in Georgia.

This in amazing. I haven't done the research or anything, but I would ASSUME this would be the first time something like this has ever happened; three players all committed to the same high major program and be named on the all state team in arguably one of the best basketball states. Pretty impressive.

WH, good job with the website. It's breath of fresh air to get away from some of the other negative ones, calling for Lowe's head.

One last thing. Any news on Scott Wood being Mr. Basketball Indiana? I would assume he's probably going to finish 3rd behind the two guys going the IU, but still wouldn't mind reading the info when announced. PS Any idea when it will be announced?

In reference to Rashard SMith winning the 2A POY and playing football for the 'Pack:

Is there a chance he might walk-on the b-ball team? Isn't there talk that Cato-Bhishop might walk-on as well?

^ Depending on our roster next year (how many bigs we sign) may depend on which, if any, football players would walk on. We do know that Coach O'Brien is not a huge fan of his boys playing basketball.

Well try talk to Coach O'Brien directly about this and get you some info.

The Indiana State Championship games are this Saturday. Don't expect Mr. Basketball to be announced until next week.

Well, if we don't win the ACC next year, we should at least compete for the Georgia State Championship! =)

^ have you guys not seen all the Ryan Harrow interviews? If not I'd advise you to click Ryan name on the right hand side of our site, about 3/4 of the way down the page.

We have a bunch of interviews with him, one with his coach and loads of video.
