Great Season Zo

Credit should be given when credit is due. Lorenzo Brown deserves a little cred right about now. This young man who will be dressing out in the RED and WHITE next year put together a solid Senior Campaign. He led Centennial to a 25-5 record and averaged 21.2ppg. He proved to be a triple-double threat night in and night out. His coaches and his fellow players raved about his leadership ability and his unselfish play. He left a dent in his high school's record book that will be hard for future competition to catch up to. He is Centennial's All-Time Leading Scorer with 2,141 career points. We promised you Zo's stats from this past Saturday's thriller with Norcross. He put up a gaudy 27 points, 11 rebounds, and 7 assists. We are not the only people that feel that Zo was snubbed from the McDonald's All-American Team along with a few other All-Star games. Let me make my case:

-Lorenzo Brown is the #43 player overall in the class of 2009 according to Rivals.

Here are 4 players that were dubbed the honor of being called McDonald's All-Americans that were ranked below our boy Zo:

-Peyton Siva (Louisville) made the cut and he is the #49 overall player in the 2009 class.
-Tommy Mason-Griffin (Oklahoma) made the team and he was ranked #66 overall.
-David and Travis Wear proudly wear the UNC badge and they proudly boast the #68 and #69 rankings respectively.

You can click here to view Lorenzo's complete season stats.

I'm looking forward to next year's Red/White game.

i haven't seen this kid play in person, all i've seen is what you guys put up on this site.but i think we have a special player coming in zo brown.from the videos to the feedback from his coaches, this could be a player to build a strong program around,i know everybody wants john wall (and who wouldn't) but he's a one and doner, zo probably isn't,and i think he has a lot more to offer than wall,if you read this blog zo,i can't wait for you to arrive on campus.im sure tracy and brandon(if he stays) can't either.thank you sid for bringing this kind of player to raleigh
