There's always a little room for more Sir Rich video. Check out this video of 2009 recruit Richard Howell showcasing his game in the State Championship. Take note of Howell's court vision, his soft touch and his ability to finish effortlessly on the break (Howell is #21). Also take note of the recent recruits Lowe has been bringing in and how they all come from winning programs....coincidence? Not a chance. (skip to the action @ 2:06)

7 Responses to "Richard Howell State Championship Video"That pass on the break for the alley-oop was awesome (2:51 mark). Nice effortless shot. I can't wait to see him and Tracy Smith in the post together.
What is the name of that song?

Alot talk about when we sign a C from down under or the Macius player from Europe (or now a JuCo even).
What about the idea that Howell can play the C and PF position the way Lowe likes. He is sort of a cross between Smith and JJ Hickson as far as his frame and athleticism so he will most likely be coming off the bench to rest Smith in the early going. Best of all he has the face up game that Lowe preferred McAuley at last season meaning he could play into a bigger role, even as a future starter at the 4.
I expect Horner will have a huge increase in production as a front court player next year- both his frosh and Jr year he logged many more minutes at the 4 and he provides Sid with a lot consistent options because of his versatility.
I'm calling it now- Kendall Smith will be a key reserve in the front court and Josh Davis will be there in case of any injuries. It's a thin line as far as numbers but we can compete with just these guys only- meaning we don't HAVE to sign another Big Man!!
I'm with you Jose...
I'd just feel a lot better if we were able to get another big for two reasons: defense and possible injuries. Although, I hope we'll have a break from those for a while.
Missouri is my new favorite team this year. I would love for us to play that way.
Missouri is an exciting team, just watching them run with Memphis right now is a treat!
