Sharing the Wealth

Zo Brown has crossed a barrier that very few high school basketball players ever even flirt with. The tap-in to your left is a picture of Lorenzo scoring his 2,000th career point. This kid has been playing varsity since his freshmen year. This accolade is truly a rarity in the sport and he achieved it through consistent and steady play. Brown has never been a player to live in the 30+ range (his career high was 34 points on January 6th against Campbell). Not many players reach the 2,000 point milestone with the unselfish style of play that Zo has. Centennial's Head Coach Allen Whitehart had this to say about his superstar's selfless play:

“His first Christmas tournament, we’re down at Douglas County and he’s got 28 at halftime,” explains Whitehart. “And we’re like, ‘Wow, this is going to be one of those 50 point nights.’ But he comes out in the second half and puts out 13 assists and only three points. He’s so unselfish, he was just like, ‘Oh you’re going to key on me now? Then I’ll just pick you apart.’ And he did.”

Zo currently has 2,114 career points and he looks to add to that total as Centennial continues on in the Georgia State Playoffs. Lorenzo was teased by a State Championship his Sohomore year when Centennial made it to the finals. Zo is the total package and the Knights are looking to ride this star's back to glory land.

The quote and the picture were taken from an article at Beaconcast.
