The Cavs are shutting down J.J. Hickson for at least 2-3 weeks after Wednesday's MRI showed a stress reaction in his lower back. J.J has appeared in 62 games for the Cavs this season averaging 4 points (52% FG%) and 3 rebounds per contest. J.J. might not have overwhelmed the box scores, but he has had an impressive rookie season. He has shown that his physicality is worthy of the NBA. He has shown glimpses of brilliance and he has also had his rookie moments. His passion and effort have never been in question and he seems to fit in well with his teammates. J.J. has only scratched the surface of his potential this season, and we expect his raw talent to continue to develop. He may never be a superstar in the NBA, but he forecasts to have a solid and successful NBA career. We are proud of what J.J. has done in his rookie campaign and we hope he has a speedy recovery.
