VIDEO: Luke Cothron: 2009 Boo Williams Nike Invitational Vol. 3

This is our third installment of Luke Cothron's highlights from this past weekends Boo Williams Nike Invitational. This was easily one of the best games that I have seen in quite some time. It came down to the final seconds and Boo Williams escaped with a victory after Spiece missed two free-throws with 4 seconds left in the game that would have given them the lead. Luke Cothron put up yet another solid performance with 14 points. He seemed much more assertive in this game demanding the ball and running the break with aggression. It's been great getting to know Luke a little bit and we look forward to tracking him all summer long.

I'm not sure if you saw the last 3 Ryan video's that we put out. The last two were of Ryan vs. Centennial/Wheeler. They are the first two things at the top of this link:

We also have a complete highlight reel from the Elite 80 Showcase that you just linked. Check it out:

We also have tons of Ryan video from this past season coming all summer long...so stay posted.

When he attacks the glass it reminds me some of Tracy Smith in that the two posses the ability to spring of the floor very quickly and with good authority.

People look at Tracy and say that it's his frame that moves people out of the way but that's really not the case. He reacts better to where the ball is or will be better then many of his opponents; If anything his extra weight helps him with the punishment all the ACC thugs eh.. I mean big men give out.

These clips are all of seen of Luke but that quick and easy lift that seems a tick faster then the others is what stands out.

Great vid's guy's, keep it up the site is going better then ever.

Cothron seems to have a knack for rebounding and seems to know how to use his length well. With some added weight, he is going to be something else at the college level.

Thanks Wolpack Hoops for showing us all these great vids of our recruits.

Man I could not be any happier with a class of Ryan Harrow, Luke Cothron, and CJ Leslie. I hope this upcoming season convinces them that NC State is the place for all of them.

    Keep'em coming WPH!

Luke's got some pretty nice handles for a big man. First I've seen of that in the videos.

I really like that Sid is looking at bigs who can get the ball up the court after a miss. Really helps the transition game we're looking for.

I heard it mentioned elsewhere that Luke mentioned us as his current early leader while at the Boo Williams.

Have you guys heard similar things?

Luke told us that he would definitely consider us one of his leaders.

I like Luke! A skilled, composed, and athletic big man. The sites say he has a good perimeter shot. I'd like to see more of that.
