VIDEO: Richard Howell vs. Walton

Sir Rich poured in 24 points only to watch Walton grab the biggest upset in their school's recent memory. Walton defeated Wheeler 82-81 on Friday, February 13th, for the first time in over a decade. I know many of you, including me, haven't seen to much of Richard Howell, so this video is a treat. Enjoy.

Looks like he has pretty good post footwork down already. If he can develop a jumpshot from outside the lane like McCauley did (or does he have one already, just not shown in this video?) he could be really good in a year or two.

    Morpheus,
Actually, he does have a jumper with some pretty soft touch. On our "Site Menu" click on "2009 Recruit Profiles" and on that video you can catch a glimpse of that jumper.

I remember watching that game live on-line, Walton was down something like 20 in the 4th.

One thing that intrigues me with Howell as a prospect is that its obvious from photo's that he has bulked up a lot from Jr-Sr yr. This summer he will surely go on a stricter weight/conditioning program that will help him with speed & endurance (something that was emphasized heavily going between last off season).

Richard should benefit from playing with a heavier frame one year in HS since every recruit form pg to c have to add bulk to receive (and more importantly lend) the physicality of High Major BBall.

He has great balance with the ball when he has his back to the basket which will help when the Coaches and Tracy start to teach him some tricks of the trade.

good video, the best i've seen of Howell. he's quick for his size, looks like he and Smith might make a potent combo. Like most of our recent recruits, he comes from a winning program. and i'm seeing an "attack the basket"-mentality from all of our recruits.

Maybe a mix of Marcus Melvin meets Damon Thornton.

    This kid will help immediately.
