Dezmine Wells at the '09 Pangos
Dezmine Wells is another new name on the scene. Wells, a 2011 combo guard prospect from Word of God in Raleigh, has been somewhat overshadowed thanks to his highlight reel happy teammates John Wall and CJ Leslie. However, do not write off Wells based on his lack of hype. This is a kid that is on the verge of breaking out, and breaking out big. Not many players his age play with the type of passion and intensity that Wells brings, nor do they have the college ready build that he sports. Although his jumper is not yet a strong suit, it is a work in progress that when mastered could catapult Wells into the nation's elite in 2011. Wells is very interested in the Wolfpack and has been contacted by the NC State coaching staff. Wells is certainly one to watch in the coming year and should be garnering national attention very soon.

^ Their build is similar, but Dez is not as fast as Lawson and will need to work on his handle and his shot before he's in Lawson's league.
Wolfpack hoops,
Great coverage on recruits. With a small amount of scholarships available (only looking a graduating players) and a lot of athletes looking at NCSCU over the next couple of years. What or who is priority on these recruits.
For example, next year is CJ Leslie and Michael Parker. Is it first commit first serve or do we wait for Leslie's choice and hope Parker is still aroung.
Ditto for the year after that.
Disclaimer: I know this is an educated guess but it is better than the fuzziness I see now.
Thanks.

Hey guys...
Over on the PackPride free board there's people giving WPH a beating. (for what reason I do not know) If you are signed up over there I think it'd be a good idea for some of us supporters to go and be heard. I
It's under the "16 minute Vandenberg Video" thread.
These guys here do a heck of a job, and do it for free. Lets stick up for them.
**WPH, I are not trying to start a board war, just so you know (since i know you guys like to keep things positive) I just think you guys don't deserve what some of these people are saying.
^^ Golden Era NCSU Grad,
I think that's the question the staff is asking themselves. I think going after Cothron is a no-brainer, but I'm not sure what the staff is going to do about CJ/Parker. CJ is probably going to be one and done, and Parker is a sure bet 4 year guy. This situation probably won't be resolved for a little while. I do know Parker likes us a lot, so this should be interesting.
^ Thanks SMRSMW,
It's ok if people hate. We'll just take it in stride. "Any publicity is good publicity."
WPH is it true Will Barton has commited to Memphis??? Who is our #1 guy right now for the '10 class???
^ I'd say CJ Leslie is the top talent that we're looking at. Is the staff willing to wait on him? I'm not sure, and I think it's something they are trying to figure out themselves. Cothron is a top 10 talent as well and if you ask us I'd say he's leaning our way. We'll have more on this situation later.
If C.J. keeps to his word and commits in the Fall, the staff will wait. However, if it turns into the Wall saga, I bet they move on.
If you ask around, you know that I probably love a lively debate better than most people, but THANKS for this site WPH!!! It's POSITIVE, and IT GIVES us fans a glimpse of the possible future of Wolfpack BB, along with a clearer picture of what the coaches are actually striving for.
I'll take that, over debating with a bunch of negative nancy's every day of the week, and twice on Sunday.
Thanks again.
About Wells, I saw his build and thought I'd be seeing all lay-ups, be he can get off the floor.
2011, two years away, tweak the shooting and ball handling and anything can happen. That's an eternity for a HS kid.
this kid looks like a linebacker. there's also other video, maybe WPH even shot it, where this kid shows how fast he is.
