McCauley Makes A Statement
Last night Ben McCauley made his presence known in the opening day of the Las Vegas NBA Summer League. Ben's line of 24 points and 15 rebounds might have caused Phil Jackson along with many other coaches around the league to turn their heads. He played 32 minutes in the Lakers 85-84 victory over the Toronto Raptors and even hit a late 22 foot jumper to seal the victory. McCauley finished his career with one of the best Field Goal % in NC State history and was known as the go-to guy in the post for the Pack. Last night he lived up to the reputation as he went a remarkable 12-19 from the field. Ben was also a monster on the offensive boards, ripping down 5 of his 15 boards on the offensive side of the ball. There was never a question about the heart and the hustle that Big Ben brought to the floor every time he stepped on it. State fans noticed it, and respected him for it. Now, Laker fans and coaches are starting to notice, which is always a good thing when you're trying to make it in the NBA. The Lakers will be back in action tonight at 6pm versus the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Either way all the best to this great Pack player.
great job Big Ben, thanks wph
Good for him! He has a lot of skills that would translate well to the NBA, and he's making the most of his opportunity.
WPH, Do you know if there is a website to watch these games on.
They did come on NBA TV, but I have not seen any so far.
Way to go Big Ben.. I know you have it in ya.
a while back (Julius Hodge's rookie year) they were televised on espn and espn 2 during the day. I'm not sure if that is still the case. we'll check on it.
