Quincy Miller Almost Lands A Triple-Double (UPDATE)

**FRIDAY NIGHT UPDATE: Quincy, once again, did serious damage as he went for 25 points and 11 boards while leading his team to an 8 point victory. D-ONE, who had been struggling to put it together on defense, had their best defensive showing of the tournament in this one.

Last night Quincy Miller came close to a rare triple-double. In a game in which D-ONE lost by 12, Miller put up a silly line of 20 points, 9 rebounds and 9 blocks. Quincy and crew will be back in action at 4:15pm (7:15pm EST).

"I don't see the Wolfpack landing Miller"

It doesn't have to be that way, and it certainly wasn't that way just a few decades back, but "anonymous'" attitude is exactly the attitude that has been hindering NC State in landing those types of kids/players for too many years now.

Haven't you people had enough of playing the victim and perpetuating these "We're not worthy" attitudes?

A lot of NC State fans are constantly moaning and complaining about how the higher-ups in NC State's administration, and how they no longer consider NC State as a place that's not worthy of having an elite BB program. Then those EXACT SAME fans will ECHO the EXACT SAME thinking by saying that a certain player is too good to even consider NC State as his choice.

    I don't get it???!!!

What I'm saying may not seem important, but young BB players do want to play at universities that BELIEVE that they have something to offer them. If I'm a young HS kid/athlete, and I'm checking out NC State athletic websites currently because I'm considering attending college in Raleigh, I don't think I'm getting a very good vibe from the common NC State fans these days.

What NC State's administration does is totally out of my control, but I'll be damned if I'm going to aid in perpetuating their decades of mismanagement by echoing their low self esteem in regards to NC STATE UNIVERSITY.

We are a Two Time National Champion, and it's well past time that we started acting like it.

HELL YEA redfred!!!! That's what I'm talking about! I think this year could be huge for us. We have a good year in football AND basketball this year and we're going to see some good things happen. Not to blame anything that happened on a single person, but I think having Herb for as long as we did was what kind of changed the attitude around here. We were a little too low key for a "TWO-TIME NATIONAL CHAMP." We're one of the original big four in the ACC and it is time we ACTED like it.

    Preach it RedFred!!!

    AMEN!!!

Im sick of Negative Nancys coming on ANY wolfpack site complaining and crying. But im sure when State DOES become national champs again, and yes it WILL happen, they will find something to whimper about.

Ive said it before and ill say it again...

Im sure there's a Tarhole blog your welcome to go join...

I see that my comment upset you. lol

I was referring to the fact that he plays for D-One, not the level of recruit he is.

anonymous good apology lol. thanks for atleast clarifying. Register your name, become a member and join so we can keep track of who says what.

I do agree with your thought that D-one hasnt been kind to the pack in the past. never know though, every kid is different, and just a few kids can change a perception.

Geez, sorry anon. I'm a little bit on a hair trigger these days, if you hadn't noticed.

My rant may have been totally uncalled for, but it felt good anyway.

I said it before and I'll say it again; I think I'm most excited about Scott Wood. He's one that we won't have to “wait until next year” or “the year after” to see. He will be wearing Wolfpack red in 09 and I think he's going to surprise a lot of people. He strikes me as one who has the same cerebral sense as Phillip Rivers did on the football field. I think he will rally this team and will be its heart in short order.

Here's a little link to get the saliva going for anyone who's interested: http://northcarolinastate.scout.com/2/881750.html

That's not to say I don't like hearing about potential recruits. This site rocks!

I see that my comment from last night about an injury on the team has been deleted.

I guess one of the other sites owns that info.

Yeah my comment got deleted too but I just wanted to let WPH know that I did not get that information through premium. I do not have access to any premium accounts. My friend is friends with the player thru facebook and he made it known on there apparently
