Cothron On the Mend

2010 NC State recruit, Luke Cothron, shot us a text today and updated us on his recovery from a knee injury he suffered a few weeks back in Vegas. For those unaware, Luke had been playing alongside 2010 Wolfpack commit Ryan Harrow with the Atlanta Celtics. While playing in Vegas Luke suffered a knee injury that had many extremely worried about how it may affect his recruitment, as he is one of the major targets that the NC State staff is hoping to land in 2010.

"Things with my knee are going good. I'm doing physical therapy now and should hit the court in one more month." Cothron told us.

This is very good news for Cothron those recruiting him, as we are told it was a very scary scene when he went down. We will continue to cover Luke's progress and play once the high school season gets back up and running.

    ^Agreed

It would have been a shame had Luke ended up with a worse injury. It sounds like even without the injury, LC would have dropped in the rankings. I hope the rest he is getting now as a result of the injury will pay dividends this basketball season.

^ well we have only offered a select few individuals and Luke has told us that NC State will be in his top 3 when he trims his list. He's become close with Ryan Harrow and had said he has a close bond with Sidney Lowe.
That is why we are covering him.

^^anon, reread what you wrote. your statement comes off as pretty whinny and i'm sure that's the last thing you want to do, right?!

WPH provides recruiting information on this site and most of us like knowing about who our coaching staff is interested in and offering scholarships to so that we have a better sense of who we're getting when someone does commit. no college gets everybody they recruit, that's the nature of the game. even if we don't land some of these guys, we have to try. in addition to that, both mychal and luke seem like good kids that would represent us well, on and off the basketball court.
