C.J. better calm down before he dunks his own head or knocks himself out on the backboard after the dunk. With his height and his leaping ability and his ballhandling he's gonna be a nightmare for defenders. I'd love to see him in red and white swatting balls in the student section and catching alley's from ryan. Has there been any word on Luke's condition yet?

CJ wants to be KG like Kobe exactly followed MJ's path. Not being critical; not many are capable of following up such impressive acts.

My big question is why does Coach Lowes' experience as a coach of one KG come with seemingly no benefit?

I know we're not totally out of the mix for CJ but I just have trouble getting excited about him. Somehow, when I watch these videos I feel we have less of a chance since he already committed and then de-committed.

To this my dad would say, "Oh yea of little faith." With respect to that, I have to say you guys at WH do a good job of supplying all info and keeping open minded because I personally would have trouble operating under my own biases. Thanks!

    Jose,

That isn't true. You have to remember we weren't even in JJ Hickson's top 5 before he got a call from Shareef Abdur-Rahim. The fact that NBA coaches and players have great things to say about Lowe is a huge benefit.

this guy is a beast. I get a bittersweet feeling whenever I see his highlight reels. Sid did an outstanding job targeting him real early and getting him to commit. But the chances of him coming to State keep getting lower and lower as the major programs target Leslie more and more. Hopefully Leslie has a change of heart... The worst would be if he ends up wearing a unc jersey..

I guess what I was saying Tank04 is that I tend to have a negative thought flow on such things and appreciate WP (and others) keeping an open mind on possibly landing him.

Afterglow, I'm not sure what you are talking about. That comment was in response to Jose.

Yes... had I read that a little better I would have seen that. Well then... I guess I don't know what I'm talking about either. Just a rambling fool... don't mind me...

No, I will never forget about JJ (or the assist by Shareef). We never see Richard Howell in red & white this season and Zo & Ryan the following if JJ didn't land at State. Fact.

He is the most gifted big man I have ever seen. Surely he'll realize that when he committed to NC State, he had a huge impact on what Sidney Lowe could do recruiting big men. I think he realizes that NC State deserves some major consideration. If he goes elsewhere, he has really hurt us rather than helping us.

I just think he might end up honoring his original commitment.

Somehow, I think he realizes that he will hurt Sidney Lowe if he goes elsewhere, since his original commitment made us think we didn't need to recruit that position since it was filled.

I think CJ likes Sidney and just might recommit. A class of Harrow, Brown, and Leslie would be the most exciting class here in about 35 years.

Any news about Cothron? Haven't heard anything since he was carted off the court.

Maybe a call from JJ to CJ will do the trick this time....

Ohhhh how I urn for him to suit up for the pack next year. I love it when a big man doesn't just want to dunk the ball, he wants to rip the goal down in the process.

In response to a few of the above posts:

I wouldn't really call him a "big man", doesn't fit the mold. He's a tall, long, very athletic guy that likes to attack the basket, But he all the skills to make the pass and take the outside shot. He could easily be a dominant 3 in the acc.

I don't know how you could have a feeling one way or the other about him re-commiting. I doubt the Wolfpack's feelings are one of his main concerns in choosing his college destination. While dissapointing, it's understandable. He's a unique talent, and apparently he made his initial decision too soon. I'm hoping he reconsiders, he has all the potential to be great.

We need to get Ryan Harrow to WOG Academy to run the point ASAP. I've heard rumblings that his friend or uncle or brother in law or something is getting the WOG job. If that is the case then maybe we can make up some ground on CJL with Ryan running the point.

We have tried to get in touch with Luke Cothron and we are waiting to hear back from him on his condition.

Sid's ability to recognize talent at such and early stage still amazes me. It's incredible. He's on it so soon, it's almost as if he discovered them.

    primacy,

I typed a comment last evening concerning just what you're speaking about, but it didn't make it through the moderation process. Doesn't matter.

Anyway, I don't think there is any denying that Lowe and staff are very well ahead of their competition on the recruiting trails, that it's almost scary!

If we can see a burning desire in the players followed with some tangible results on the BB court in this upcoming season, then surely the coaches are going to be rewarded for seeking out, investing their time, and making a huge commitment to these young kids before anyone else has even taken notice.

Our apologies. I'm not sure what happened. Either we didn't get the comment, or we accidentally clicked the wrong button.

If you wanna get mad at Coach Cal and Kentucky, read this article.

I personally would hate if UK got Leslie also. We need to get the players that are at our doorstep!

WPH, that's no problem at all, just more of my incoherent blabbering lost in cyberspace. Thanks much for the apology, it was totally unnecessary.
