He was out there just putting on a show.
WOW!!#106 is going to be having nightmares about Ryan. Ryan looked like a man amoung boys. CJ can you imagine a season full of that? Come to Raleigh
WHAT? Holy ____! I had to catch my breath there for a minute! Ryan, you are the real deal! I so wished I could have been in Wilson on Saturday, but I'm trying to sell my house AND I have a two year old baby girl. I actually had to miss my first football game in the past 12 years! But, after this video, I am actually contemplating plnuking down the cash for Basketball Season tickets, just knowing that you're coming to NCSU! The thought of CJ coming with you BLOWS MY MIND! The crew is going to be stacked either way, but DAMN! Your handles are amazing! Your dishes are clean. You have eyes in the back of your head! And the throw downs! OMG, the throw downs! That first on off of the backboard was absolutely sick. SICK! I am proud to have you play with the Pack. I can't wait to see you lace 'em up and don the Red and White! I have to go calm down now. That vid got me stirred up. Lord have mercy! And a HUGE thanks to WPH's! I'm living vicariously through you, my friends.Go Pack!
That was SICK!
who is 26?
that cat is freakin sick NASTY!!!!This kids gonna be a baller... Imma go ahead and call it... By the time Ryan is finished, he will be the best PG NCSU has ever had... may be the best the ACC has ever seen, but that's some rarified air right there.
I think 26 is Bishop Daniels.
wow- I'm speakless
That's Bishop Daniels. He's a 2011 prospect that State has been in contact with. He is one of the best high school dunkers I've ever seen but really needs to work on other aspects of his game like his jumper and his ability to run the point (since he's pretty short). He is getting a lot of looks and told us that Wake is involved, so we'll see how he turns out.
The scouts are right, he does look a little bit bigger (could be the undershirt a bit). But his shoulders look broader and he does look a bit taller. He's certainly filling out nicely.
Someone told me that Ryan and CJ's chemistry wasnt all that great. Your thoughts?
^That sounds like trolling to me. Did you read the previous blog about the tournament?
^ Who said that? Probably not somebody that was there on Saturday. That first clip of them joking around and laughing is basically what went on. They worked well together. It was their first time playing on the same team and for that to be the case, I think the chemistry was good. Ryan kept clearing the right side of the floor and calling CJ over for pick and rolls, and as you can see they connected on a few alley oops. We have more footage to come, but give us a day or so to get it out. Editing videos, and uploading them in HD takes A LOT of time. We're working on very little sleep from this weekend (basketball/football), so we're going to rest up a little tonight. We'll try to get more video to you tomorrow ASAP, we promise.
Can't see the video, nothing on the screen, is there a system error?
it's one thing to see kids on the playground do this kind of stuff, WITH NO ONE GUARDING THEM, but in a game against (i assume was quality competition), ridiculous. He's got moves ive literally never seen, i played alot of playground ball growing up, ive watched plenty of And1 videos, this stuff is amazing.
this is the reason that we must keep lowe after what is sure to be a pretty long season for us. So when everyone starts screaming for lowe's job come middle of the season just remember that harrow, cothron, and leslie are at stake.
^^ It's working fine on the two computers I use. If you are using an Iphone the videos won't show up b/c Vimeo doesnt support Iphone (flash) format. (they're working on that) Otherwise it should work. I'm not sure why you can't view it.
Don't forget about Brown.
do kids really try that hard on defense at events like this?
I cannot see it as well! and I am on explorer 6.0
^The first game, yes they did. The second game, Ryan's team just was way better than the team they faced and some may have tried but simply were not top level talent.
Just playing with those kats. . . Straight dirty.
Note that if you're at work your system may block video sites such as YouTube/Vimeo from your computers. Not saying that is the case, but just throwing that out there.
What kind of #'s did they (Ryan & CJ ) put up in the 1st game agianst the heels recruits? Thanks guys the video is sick .Hot Sauce i mean Ryan is so nasty my ankles are broke jus watching this.
will these videos be uploaded on youtube because i cant see it either
^ No, we are slowly moving away from YouTube. We'll explain more about that situation later, but for now we'll be using Vimeo. We'll try to figure out why you cant see it. Do you have 'FLASH'? If not, you wont be able to see it b/c Vimeo uses a Flash based system to make videos the highest possible quality. FLASH is made by Adobe and is entirely free. Here is the link.http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
I watched that video twice and I'm still not sure I understand everything I just saw. Holy crap. Will any of that get called as palming at the college level?
Yes...A lot of it will be called. Hopefully he already understands that, if not it will be up to Sid to teach him. If he is still only 6 feet tall, his hops are unreal. Tank04
Ok, this is off topic a bit but I heard there was an open practice this week that people can come watch...if so, when is it, what time, and where? Would really appreciate it!
I can't wait to see Harrow playing in the red & white next year...hopefully CJ too!
I could see it, but it was more like a slide show, with about 10 frames missing between every picture. But, it's not like I have the most up to date in computing eguipment/software either. Oh well.Anyway, I saw enough to ask this question...at SIX FEET TALL, how in the world does anyone get up that high???!!!I mean, I though it was Leslie cocking the ball waaay back and gliding in for a slam, but then I realized it was Harrow! Uh, height, build, who cares, this kid can dominate!!!
If Leslie doesn't want to play for the home town team with a PG like Harrow it truly will be his loss. It will take 2-3 players on the break to stop Ryan which would open up things for someone on the wing like Leslie. Harrow is unbelievable. Thanks WPH.
I browse your site solely with my iPhone :(
Anon, the "open practice" is this friday (the 16th) at 9 pm. http://gopack.com/fls/9200/HTML_Files/red-rally/red-rally.html?KEY=&DB_OEM_ID=9200&DB_LANG=&IN_SUBSCRIBER_CONTENT=
"Ok, this is off topic a bit but I heard there was an open practice this week that people can come watch...if so, when is it, what time, and where? Would really appreciate it!"Yes, the Red Rally is this Friday night (16th) after the women's volleyball game (9ish) at Reynold's. It's free if you wear red. Women's and men's teams. Mini-scrimmages, 3-point contests, and dunk contest. Check this link:http://gopack.com/fls/9200/HTML_Files/red-rally/red-rally.html?KEY=&DB_OEM_ID=9200&DB_LANG=&IN_SUBSCRIBER_CONTENT=
dang, that link didn't post for either of us.Just go to gopack.com
red fred,i had the same thought, "Why is the Ryan Harrow clip starting off with a CJL dunk".... then i realized it was Ryan!!!It seems like just yesterday when he texted hendu that he had his 1st in game dunk... now the kid is a frikin rim rocker with room to grow and fill out.all the lowe haters, please keep you powder dry until the next 2 classes change things...please don't run these kids off :)-sf59
Fricken sweet. You guys are awesome for putting all your time and effort into this.Set up a paypal link so you can get some donations (i would pay), you deserve it.Also i cant wait, when ryan gets here, we might have a really good team here.
^ seriously. WPH it boggles my mind that you have done this much work for free for over a year (if i'm correct). Your donate links aren't working, so either fix those or give me an address where I can send my thanks. -Mike
Count me in. I would donate some cash to the effort. Keep up the good work. I go to your site everyday.
I don't know where Anon got his info from but I was there and Ryan and CJ's chemistry looked pretty damn good to me.BTW, when I spoke to Ryan I told him as I was leaving to try and get CJ to come to state.
I know we have to, but I really don't want to wait for Ryan Harrow until next year. Can he graduate early? What talent! Exceptional!
Wow. I fell out of my chair a couple of times watching that. Thanks for the video. It was well worth the wait.
Based on all of the footage I've seen, I would take Harrow over any other point guard in his class. This kid is a floor general. 2010 can't get here soon enough.
You know...I'm just thinking that CJ Leslie will probably turn Pro after only one year or two at the most, and if he's smart, he'll come home after the season and finish getting a degree.Wouldn't it be best for him to be able to come back to Raleigh where he has family to take the classes he'll need ?That may be a silly thought, but we've got EVERYTHING he needs AND we offer that one thing that NOBODY can offer. We're the only school where he can come HOME to finish his degree. He can make some more videos too. This guy could be a legend here in Raleigh. Hope he takes that into account. Good deal for everybody.
CJ's video from this weekend will be up tomorrow :)
WPH, Do you know if Ryan, Luke, CJ or any recruits will be on hand Friday night?
All I gotta say is that I just watched that 3 times straight. Unreal. CJ come on buddy you first answer is always the right one never second guess yourself!!! Goosebumps. Never doubted you SID and CO!!!
If he's not in the top 5 at the end of the year, it'll be an absolute travesty. I mean somebody, tell me 5 kids in his class that are better than Harrow.
and I just watched that video 3 times... He only carried in one spot and that was close, the crossover at 1:48 MIGHT have been called, but the rest of his moves were legitimate and he wasn't carrying.word verification of the day:methh
okay... maybe the one at :17 but that's not a move ur gonna use in the game, that was showing off lol
i just hope Harrow isn't a one and done... and that Sid doesn't put him in some system that slows him down... he is too creative for that
We don't need CJ Leslie, he probably couldn't crack the line up anyway. Hey, it's worth a try. Maybe he's just one of those folks who is negatively motivated. I mean, it's all right there, Sidney Lowe has been CJ Leslie's corner since back before anyone else even knew who he was. Lowe has delivered, he and his staff have done a great setting the table for a player of Leslie's abilities. NOW, all we need is for someone to get through to CJ Leslie and tell him it's time for diner!!! This is a standing invitation to come and devour everything in sight (the ACC and anyone else who makes the mistake of getting in the way) with THE WOLFPACK of NC STATE UNIVERSITY!!!
^Pitiful spelling, and whole words left out. Can't mistake that "style".I think I might need to settle down a little.
thank you ryan, youre a shining light, you bring a smile to my face every time i watch you play
please sid, dont screw up this year,we cant let this kid get away,he chose to run with the pack because of you
are the carolina guys in this video? what #s?
You gotta be kidding me. Ankle breaker, jock-strap taker.RH is gonna hurt some feelings. He's gonna be a nightmare for opposing coaches and players. Bring out the pepto Roy and K, he's coming.Get your popcorn ready!!!
Fantastic video, and Harrow looks just as impressive as he did in the 1st videos that were posted here. CJL is not committed to State right now. This one tournament hasn't changed that. But hey, why not dream about Harrow and CJL lighting up the ACC? Ah that looks good.Obviously State doesn't have the star power of a UK, UF, UNC, etc. That's ultimately what Lowe has to overcome to land Leslie. It's a tall order, but hey... anything is possible...Besides, I agree with a lot of people on here that CJL would come in to a MUCH better situation now that the lineup looks like this:Backcourt: Brown, Harrowbackups: Mays, Gonzo, CJWThis gives State young but talented guys in the backcourt (backed up by veteran role players)PF/C: Cothron/Painter/VandenbergCombo F: Howell/SmithPlenty of unknowns, but that's a lot of young talented players. Smith is the known commodity and can hold down the fort at PF if needed, so all you need is one of those guys to step up as the primary physical, shot-blocking rebound machine to fill out the starting line-up.Suddenly State looks more attractive. Hey, like I said... dare to dream :)
sf59, just saw your comment, good to see you on here my man! About Harrow, uh, yeah. According to at least some of the reports, I was kind of expecting to see more of a fairly smallish, frail kid who needed to create space with speed and quickness in order to get his shot off. Uh, this is one case where size really does NOT matter. He doesn't look small, and he definitely does NOT play small. He goes straight at people and it looks like he generally wins out in impressive fashion. My predictions haven't exactly hit the mark lately, so I'm not going to say much more about him, but I am one who is thoroughly impressed with young Ryan Harrow.
In reference to the Red Rally, Luke Cothron and Dezmine Wells will be there. As of now Ryan Harrow isn't coming. He was planning on coming with Lorenzo Brown, but he couldn't make it.
As much as I try to be positive I know I am like a wet blanket. but these guys look good now... But overall player development is what I am looking for. not where they start but how they get better from year to year. And as far as ratings... well I seem to remember other so call highly ranked players who never paned out or ended up leaving the program. I guess I am saying I want to be excited and I want to get hyped up but exp and past seasons make me take the wait and see approach. I sure do hope all of these guys are the real deal. I hope and pray that sidney lowe will take us back to glory. Very very nice coverage by Wolfpackhoops. I give mad and kudos to WPH for all there hard work and all the light they shed on the program and for the look behind the scenes and for a great website.Rant OverGO WOLFPACK
Ever since this past summer Ryan has been the most talented PG in the nation, offensively. If he can stop other guards then we are going to have the best guard combo in the ACC (maybe the country) in a few years..
I just love the flashiness that both Harrow and Leslie have. We NEED some of that. Brown can do it, but really, he's got that game faced, seriously competitive look on the court. I think Leslie Brown Harrow and Cothron would be one heck of a recruiting class with ALL bases covered on offense AND defense.Brown is a big guard who can really play some D and Leslie is the best shot blocker I've seen.I'm happy with the guys we've got, but seriously...if we could add Leslie it would be unbelievable. Just unbelievable.
this video was insane!!
Lonewolf, that comment wasn't negative at all. And as far as the player development issue goes, that is certainly nothing new. I think we all have been looking for that same thing since,...well...back about when Todd Fuller graduated from NC State University maybe?
This needs to be posted on youtube.
Ryan just might save us all.
^Reggie Bullock is #149 and P.J. Hairston is #150.
any idea when those CJL vids will be up? thanks.
Uploading as we speak Alum. 25-30 minutes.
Look at Wake Forest to see the impact a really, really good PG can have. They became a Top 20 team with Paul and immediately dropped off the map when he left.I doubt we'll see Harrow in Raleigh for more than a couple of years, but if he makes us a tournament team in those years, it will be well worth it.
^ I actually think we have Harrow for at least three years. Not because he isn't talented enough to go the the NBA earlier(b/c we all know he is. But because he is going to HAVE to put on weight and get stronger. He needs 3 or 4 years in a college conditioning program before he can be a high draft pick in the NBA. The NBA posts up point guards if there is a physical mismatch.
is it 2010 yet? good lord this kid is fun to watch
Lord have mercy...Every time I see Ryan I'm more and more impressed. I can't wait for him to suit up for the Red & White!
