    WOW!!
#106 is going to be having nightmares about Ryan. Ryan looked like a man amoung boys. CJ can you imagine a season full of that? Come to Raleigh

WHAT? Holy ____! I had to catch my breath there for a minute!

Ryan, you are the real deal! I so wished I could have been in Wilson on Saturday, but I'm trying to sell my house AND I have a two year old baby girl. I actually had to miss my first football game in the past 12 years! But, after this video, I am actually contemplating plnuking down the cash for Basketball Season tickets, just knowing that you're coming to NCSU! The thought of CJ coming with you BLOWS MY MIND! The crew is going to be stacked either way, but DAMN! Your handles are amazing! Your dishes are clean. You have eyes in the back of your head! And the throw downs! OMG, the throw downs! That first on off of the backboard was absolutely sick. SICK! I am proud to have you play with the Pack. I can't wait to see you lace 'em up and don the Red and White! I have to go calm down now. That vid got me stirred up. Lord have mercy!

And a HUGE thanks to WPH's! I'm living vicariously through you, my friends.

    Go Pack!

that cat is freakin sick NASTY!!!!

This kids gonna be a baller... Imma go ahead and call it... By the time Ryan is finished, he will be the best PG NCSU has ever had... may be the best the ACC has ever seen, but that's some rarified air right there.

That's Bishop Daniels. He's a 2011 prospect that State has been in contact with. He is one of the best high school dunkers I've ever seen but really needs to work on other aspects of his game like his jumper and his ability to run the point (since he's pretty short). He is getting a lot of looks and told us that Wake is involved, so we'll see how he turns out.

The scouts are right, he does look a little bit bigger (could be the undershirt a bit). But his shoulders look broader and he does look a bit taller. He's certainly filling out nicely.

Someone told me that Ryan and CJ's chemistry wasnt all that great. Your thoughts?

  13. Anonymous said...

^That sounds like trolling to me. Did you read the previous blog about the tournament?

  14. Wolfpack Hoops said...
    October 12, 2009 at 11:00 AM

^ Who said that? Probably not somebody that was there on Saturday. That first clip of them joking around and laughing is basically what went on. They worked well together. It was their first time playing on the same team and for that to be the case, I think the chemistry was good. Ryan kept clearing the right side of the floor and calling CJ over for pick and rolls, and as you can see they connected on a few alley oops.

We have more footage to come, but give us a day or so to get it out. Editing videos, and uploading them in HD takes A LOT of time. We're working on very little sleep from this weekend (basketball/football), so we're going to rest up a little tonight. We'll try to get more video to you tomorrow ASAP, we promise.

it's one thing to see kids on the playground do this kind of stuff, WITH NO ONE GUARDING THEM, but in a game against (i assume was quality competition), ridiculous. He's got moves ive literally never seen, i played alot of playground ball growing up, ive watched plenty of And1 videos, this stuff is amazing.

this is the reason that we must keep lowe after what is sure to be a pretty long season for us. So when everyone starts screaming for lowe's job come middle of the season just remember that harrow, cothron, and leslie are at stake.

^ No, we are slowly moving away from YouTube. We'll explain more about that situation later, but for now we'll be using Vimeo.

We'll try to figure out why you cant see it. Do you have 'FLASH'? If not, you wont be able to see it b/c Vimeo uses a Flash based system to make videos the highest possible quality.

FLASH is made by Adobe and is entirely free. Here is the link.

I could see it, but it was more like a slide show, with about 10 frames missing between every picture. But, it's not like I have the most up to date in computing eguipment/software either. Oh well.

Anyway, I saw enough to ask this question...at SIX FEET TALL, how in the world does anyone get up that high???!!!

I mean, I though it was Leslie cocking the ball waaay back and gliding in for a slam, but then I realized it was Harrow! Uh, height, build, who cares, this kid can dominate!!!

  33. Realwolfpacker said...
    October 12, 2009 at 12:51 PM

If Leslie doesn't want to play for the home town team with a PG like Harrow it truly will be his loss. It will take 2-3 players on the break to stop Ryan which would open up things for someone on the wing like Leslie. Harrow is unbelievable. Thanks WPH.

You know...I'm just thinking that CJ Leslie will probably turn Pro after only one year or two at the most, and if he's smart, he'll come home after the season and finish getting a degree.

Wouldn't it be best for him to be able to come back to Raleigh where he has family to take the classes he'll need ?

That may be a silly thought, but we've got EVERYTHING he needs AND we offer that one thing that NOBODY can offer. We're the only school where he can come HOME to finish his degree.

He can make some more videos too. This guy could be a legend here in Raleigh. Hope he takes that into account. Good deal for everybody.

  54. redfred said...
    October 12, 2009 at 6:37 PM

We don't need CJ Leslie, he probably couldn't crack the line up anyway.

Hey, it's worth a try. Maybe he's just one of those folks who is negatively motivated.

I mean, it's all right there, Sidney Lowe has been CJ Leslie's corner since back before anyone else even knew who he was. Lowe has delivered, he and his staff have done a great setting the table for a player of Leslie's abilities. NOW, all we need is for someone to get through to CJ Leslie and tell him it's time for diner!!!

This is a standing invitation to come and devour everything in sight (the ACC and anyone else who makes the mistake of getting in the way) with THE WOLFPACK of NC STATE UNIVERSITY!!!

Fantastic video, and Harrow looks just as impressive as he did in the 1st videos that were posted here.

CJL is not committed to State right now. This one tournament hasn't changed that. But hey, why not dream about Harrow and CJL lighting up the ACC? Ah that looks good.

Obviously State doesn't have the star power of a UK, UF, UNC, etc. That's ultimately what Lowe has to overcome to land Leslie. It's a tall order, but hey... anything is possible...

Besides, I agree with a lot of people on here that CJL would come in to a MUCH better situation now that the lineup looks like this:

    Backcourt: Brown, Harrow
    backups: Mays, Gonzo, CJW

This gives State young but talented guys in the backcourt (backed up by veteran role players)

    PF/C: Cothron/Painter/Vandenberg
    Combo F: Howell/Smith

Plenty of unknowns, but that's a lot of young talented players. Smith is the known commodity and can hold down the fort at PF if needed, so all you need is one of those guys to step up as the primary physical, shot-blocking rebound machine to fill out the starting line-up.

Suddenly State looks more attractive. Hey, like I said... dare to dream :)

sf59, just saw your comment, good to see you on here my man!

About Harrow, uh, yeah. According to at least some of the reports, I was kind of expecting to see more of a fairly smallish, frail kid who needed to create space with speed and quickness in order to get his shot off.

Uh, this is one case where size really does NOT matter. He doesn't look small, and he definitely does NOT play small. He goes straight at people and it looks like he generally wins out in impressive fashion.

My predictions haven't exactly hit the mark lately, so I'm not going to say much more about him, but I am one who is thoroughly impressed with young Ryan Harrow.

  62. Wolfpack Hoops said...

In reference to the Red Rally, Luke Cothron and Dezmine Wells will be there. As of now Ryan Harrow isn't coming. He was planning on coming with Lorenzo Brown, but he couldn't make it.

As much as I try to be positive I know I am like a wet blanket. but these guys look good now... But overall player development is what I am looking for. not where they start but how they get better from year to year. And as far as ratings... well I seem to remember other so call highly ranked players who never paned out or ended up leaving the program. I guess I am saying I want to be excited and I want to get hyped up but exp and past seasons make me take the wait and see approach. I sure do hope all of these guys are the real deal. I hope and pray that sidney lowe will take us back to glory. Very very nice coverage by Wolfpackhoops. I give mad and kudos to WPH for all there hard work and all the light they shed on the program and for the look behind the scenes and for a great website.

Ever since this past summer Ryan has been the most talented PG in the nation, offensively. If he can stop other guards then we are going to have the best guard combo in the ACC (maybe the country) in a few years..

  65. Anonymous said...
    October 12, 2009 at 9:36 PM

I just love the flashiness that both Harrow and Leslie have. We NEED some of that. Brown can do it, but really, he's got that game faced, seriously competitive look on the court. I think Leslie Brown Harrow and Cothron would be one heck of a recruiting class with ALL bases covered on offense AND defense.

Brown is a big guard who can really play some D and Leslie is the best shot blocker I've seen.

I'm happy with the guys we've got, but seriously...if we could add Leslie it would be unbelievable. Just unbelievable.

Look at Wake Forest to see the impact a really, really good PG can have. They became a Top 20 team with Paul and immediately dropped off the map when he left.

I doubt we'll see Harrow in Raleigh for more than a couple of years, but if he makes us a tournament team in those years, it will be well worth it.

  75. Realwolfpacker said...
    October 13, 2009 at 11:57 AM

^ I actually think we have Harrow for at least three years.

Not because he isn't talented enough to go the the NBA earlier(b/c we all know he is. But because he is going to HAVE to put on weight and get stronger. He needs 3 or 4 years in a college conditioning program before he can be a high draft pick in the NBA. The NBA posts up point guards if there is a physical mismatch.
