DESCRIPTION:
Mychal Parker is a high school senior in a man's body. He's built like a rock and knows how to use his frame to his advantage. At 6'6 you may feel like Parker is a tweener, but that is where you'd be wrong. Mychal plays the consummate SF game. He attacks the rim with a hunger not seen by many at his level. He does not shy away from contact, in fact, he welcomes it. Most of his finishing is done above the rim as he loves to get up and throw down. His above average handles and quickness for his size make him an extremely hard cover. Couple that with the soft jumpshot he's been working on and you have yourself a complete player. His basketball IQ and his team first attitude is just the icing on the cake with Parker. Whichever school can land this kid will sure up their SF slot for a few years.

Mychal Parker is the best wing forward on the east coast. The only guy that can hang with him is the Barnes kid from Iowa. Mychal and Ryan are sick when they are on the same team. Both are young men with great character and are very good students. Put these two touted prospects on the same college team with a good suporting cast and you can win an NCAA title.

There's a common trait among all of our committed and potential recruits. They're all super-athletic!

    There's also some bonds:

Brown&Harrow, Mays&Wood, and now Harrow&Parker have all already played together. Several hometown kids (Smith, Thomas, Williams, Davis, potentially Cothron). And that Georgia pipeline is flowing (Brown, Howell, Harrow). And aren't Davis & Wall (& Leslie) friends?....

^and to expand on that "Georgia-pipeline"... I'm not trying to bring any drama, but I'm so glad that JJ chose to run with the Pack. His choice came as a surprise to many.

Hickson was the first to flow through that PeachState-pipeline. Richard Howell is also a Wheeler alumni. I think he'll have an immediate impact too.

WPH (or anyone that knows) - does Parker have an offer from NC State. I have heard conflicting reports. Thanks.
