-Richard Howell and his Wheeler squad won their first game at the City of Palms Classic 101-84 against Lincoln (N.Y.). Richard had a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds. This keeps Wheeler's championship hopes alive and guarantees them a game on ESPNU on Tuesday in either the Third-Place game at 3:00pm or the Championship game at 5:00pm.
Wheeler plays tonight at 7pm against Mater Dei (California).
Richard is now averaging 18.5 ppg and Wheeler is now 4-2 on the year.
-Word of God lost to St. Patrick (N.J.) 77-69. C.J. Leslie had 20 points and 8 rebounds and John Wall had 21 points. John continued his turnover happy play in the Classic, putting up 0 assists with 7 turnovers. Word of God still has a shot to finish 5th in the Classic.
Word of God plays tonight at 5:15pm against Westchester (California).
John is now averaging 18.57 ppg and C.J. is averaging 16.71 ppg. Word of God is now a disappointing 5-3 on the year.
