Friday Night Recap

Wheeler has beaten three straight Top-10 opponents in a row. After beating Milton and Walton last weekend, they continued to roll last night by defeating #5 Lassiter 70-68. Don't let Wheeler's 16-6 record fool you. They are ranked #4 in the state of Georgia (they are probably underrated) and they are 10-1 in Regional play. Richard Howell's 21 points last night helped keep Wheeler's hope of a Regional 6AAAAA title still alive. Wheeler's final two games of the regular season are against Campbell on Tuesday night and the much anticipated match up against Walton on Friday night.

Marion streaked on to their 12th straight win last night by beating New Castle 51-35. The Giants were propelled as usual by NC State commit Scott Wood who scored 22 points. The Giants are now 13-1 on the year and remain undefeated in conference play (4-0). Marion plays again tonight at home against Warsaw.

This past Tuesday night Lorenzo Brown put up numbers that are flat out an oxymoron for a guard. He had a career high 17 rebounds in a 74-70 win over Milton. He also had 24 points, 5 assists, and 5 steals. This kid, night in and night out, splatters the box score. Centennial also beat Alpharetta last night to the tune of 100-67. We will get you Zo's stats from this game ASAP. Centennial is now 20-2 on the season.
