Sharing the Wealth: "A Harrow-ing Experience"

This morning's Marietta Daily Journal had a feature article on Ryan Harrow. As usual we love to share the wealth with you when we come across it. The article highlights Ryan's work ethic on the court and in the weight room. Whether it was working late nights in the gym with personal trainer Mark Edwards (Mark Edwards personally trained 'Hot Sauce' and 'The Professor' from the And1 Basketball) or hitting the weight room with the Walton's Offensive Line coach John Evans (Ryan has added 23 pounds since he arrived at Walton in February of 2008), Ryan has put in the hard work and it has paid off. I don't want to steal any more thunder from the aricle, it is a good read and you should read it for yourself. I'm going to drop one quote from the article and then I'm out:

"I catch myself during games watching his moves," teammate G'Mitri Rice said, "and it's really entertaining."

    Very cool article,

Congrats to Ryan for setting personal and team goals and allowing your coaches/trainers to give you all their best efforts. Keep putting the extra time and setting the bar higher and you'll have no regrets.

It will be cool to know that along with weight lifting the OL HS coach is giving there is also some flexibility/dexterity workouts they can help Ryan with.

In all the basketball I've witnessed no one has been quite like Ryan in how he can knife through small openings in traffic and still get a quality shot attempt.

Think of how many times you have seen a High Major PG in college see an path to the bucket and go for it only to get to their and have to dump it off because they cant get anything close to a decent shot attempt off.

The positive articles about all of our recruits just keep coming out. I'm glad to see that Coach Lowe is bringing quality people as well as athletes. No doubt Ryan will continue to work in the weight room throughout his senior year and I can't wait to see him in a Wolfpack Uniform!

Even before we started up this site, we used to keep very close tab on NC State's recruits and this year there has been the most positive publicity on our recruits...it should have the masses thinking pretty optimistic in the way Lowe is handling this program. Quality kids with big time talent, and other people besides NC State fans are noticing.

I can tell all of Ryan's hard work in the weight room is really paying off. In his most recent film he is more athletic and his dunks are more exciting.
