Yesterday afternoon before the games began there was another skill drill session in which they worked on ball handling. In this video you will see Ryan Harrow, Mychal Parker, Luke Cothron, Dezmine Wells and Will Barton doing single hand work, along with crossover drills in front and behind the back.

6 Responses to "Pangos: Day 2: Ball Handling Drills"The ball is a blur when Harrow dribbles...and looks just like Hodge. Great video!
Impressive. And if I've got the faces right, Ryan and Mychal seemed to be having a lot of fun with the drills.
I have a few comments from the video, just a few notes.
I LOVE Will Barton! Most people dislike arrogance in a recruit and I personally believe thats a great reason not to recruit a player. At the same time I love Will's swagger, through the whole vid you see a big smile on his face, couple that with the one on one vid from yesterday you can tell that he just plain loves the game and is so happy when he plays! I'm offically a fan!
Of course Ryan Harrow looks like straight business throughout the whole vid.
Based on the two dribbling vid's and some of the shoot arounds all Mychal needs is some experience going off in some games using the skill package he already posses. Some call it a mean streak, some others might call it a killer instinct. I believe Coach Lowe calls it mental toughness and it means that you don't let thoughts and doubts get in the way of getting your job done. Once Parker get's a handle on this aspect he will probably end up a All ACC guy repeatedly (1st, 2nd, 3rd team respectively) for some lucky coach.
A lot of time and basketball left before Nov. early signing period and the staff will undoubtedly be covering some serious ground in terms of evaluating this one precious official offer.
Of course Ryan looks like a natural with the ball, they had a write up in our local N&O the other day about our upcoming class and made the comment that ryan wasn't a natural point guard, I think i'll call and have them take a look at some of the vids on this site. I'm also excited about Mychal I live near flora mcdonald so i've seen Luke several times in the last year he's the truth. But my attention now is on Dezmine he really impressed me with his handles I know he plays on a good AAU team and he's only gonna get better he could add some depth to the guard position where we'll be short in 2011.
ditto on the loving me some Will Barton comment. i'm officially a fan now as well.
