Ryan Harrow: 2009 Bob Gibbons TOC: Game 3

This was probably one of the better games we've ever witnessed Ryan play. Keep in mind that this team (the Memphis Stallions) was the main contender in their pool. The guy going back and forth with Ryan was the talk of the tournament as he had games of over 50 and over 40 respectively. What made this game so impressive is that every highlight is a meaningful bucket. The Celtics were having trouble keeping up with the scoring of the Stallions but as you can see, Ryan took the game into his own hands scoring 32 points and leading Atlanta to a victory.

This dude gets me excited. He is going to be one of the top 3 alltime PGs at State.

WPH - Can you ask Ryan if he ever gets called for carrying when he does his crossovers? Its borderline and I wonder what the ACC refs are going to think about such a nasty move.

One of the sickest highlight vids ive seen in awhile, and this is only coming from one game against legit talent! From what i hear and have seen, he is a class act too which means were getting John Wall talent without the attitude. Cant wait to have him on our squad. Great Vid and great song to go w/ the vid too WPH. Thanks

Keeping donating guys!! I would love to see a some vid w/ Ryan Mychal and Luke!

^ We've watched him a ton in AAU and High school and it seems as though it really depends on the ref. Sometimes yes, Ryan gets his hand underneath the ball during his cross and is called for a carry, but most of the time he keeps his hand on the side of the ball which is usually ok.

Made my donation, come on State fans! WPH is giving us a LOT of information and videos for free and it's just as good as the info for sites you have to pay for!

We've got to keep supporting these recruits to help Sid out on the recruiting trail by showing them we will give them the exposure we think they deserve!

I had seen comments in previous posts about critics saying he doesn't go left...I appreciate the highlight near the start when he looks pretty smooth going left.

He has such a soft touch off the glass. He has the length to really pester opposing guards on defense. Granted height and strength might be a problem on D, but if he can utilize that length I'm not worried at all. He really uses it on the offensive side to get his shots and passes around defenders. And we just can't say enough about his character. He's ready to lead the day he gets on campus, something we've been lacking for a while.

Is there any chance you would release unedited game footage via bit torrent? I'd love to watch more of the game and watch Harrow playing when he's not making a highlight.

Ryan will be a WAY better college player than Wall. He is much smarter and has a better head on his shoulders. I think we really lucked out not getting Wall. Harrow is the future of the pack!

I was wondering how good of a left hand layup Ryan has. I can't remember him making a layup with his left and any footage.

    Wolfpack Nation,

COME ON GUYS!!!We are doing well donating but we aren't nowhere close to what we need. We have about 48 hours to make this thing work out and send these dedicated wolfpackhoops crew to California to cover the tournament for us and bring us some awesome video back. NOT only are we doing this for the camera work to see, but guys we are doing this as a WolfPack Nation to show the top recruits in the country that if they come here we not only support them when they are wearing the red and white but that we also support them when they are playing before they get here. Let's show Ryan and his family along with Parker and his family and Cothron and his family that we are willing and able to give their kids the added exposure and the love and dedication that we want here. We are a great fan base let's prove it. When you come to this site click the tab and donate 5,10,15,20 bucks anything at this point will help. We can not fall short and let Wolfpack Hoops down guys!!!! We need this to show everyone we care about the future of N.C. State Basketball. You spend more than 5 or 10 bucks on crazy thing's so put it to good use and let's send these N.C. State soldiers to California!

Just sent in my donation. I really hope that people can reach into their pockets, because I feel like it will go a long way with the recruits if we can get WPH out to Cali. Hopefully tomorrow can be a big day for donations once everyone gets back to work and checks this site.

When these guys cover huge events and get video and interviews of recruits like Cothron and Parker then it is out there on the web. We've all wanted to check up on any factoids of some of these elite stars and during the course of a Google search tripped upon a new site we would consider revisiting from time to time. A little support now would go a long way to growing this Wolfpack community of positive thinking/acting fan's.

Also, when Luke and Mychal check in on how there video's, ect. look on this site they will pretty impressed that the same guys who flew 3,000 miles to see them also enjoy running down info on former players as well who are playing all across the globe.

^ we have one more Ryan video, and in that one you'll see him finish lefty over a defender. It looks smooth and natural. When he has to use his left, he can use it.

Dude is sick. He gotta get rid of that hanging cross over though. If the refs ain't let Lawson, Rice and Teague get away with it they definately ain't gonna let my man Ryan do it.

I dont think he needs to get rid of his crossover, obviously its nasty, but he simply needs to practice keeping his hand to the side not under the ball. He doesnt carry every crossover and his first step is so quick its a great asset to him. But with his spin move and studder-step, he has the moves and speed to put a hurt'n on some ACC guards. The way he minipulates the ball off the backboard is almost unimaginable!! How is his 3 point shot compared to other guards?? he seems to have a good stroke and he hits some in the videos but im curious if its a good percentage/ how many times he looks for that shot...

No, no, no. I didn't say get rid of his crossover, you can't be a point guard without a crossover...just the hanging crossover. The school yard crossover. His conventional one is sick as well. But that's a point that refs are really paying attention to now, even if your hand is on the side of the ball they are calling it in college. If that ball hangs for even a second they don't like it. You don't have to look like you are flipping flap jacks to get called now.

I agree tank College refs will call the carry if the hand comes near that 45degree mark. Ironic considering the next step up in basketball is the NBA, and they let they things slide like 3 step "crab dribble" and a carry on almost every possesion. Ryan looks like a good mix of schoolyard basketball and formal heady basketball. WPH i know its been asked but any word on the TOC all tourney team??
