Scott won't be competing in this circuit too much longer as next week is when commits will finally head to campus to join the team, get enrolled early in summer school and start their workouts.

Scott Wood and The Indiana All-Stars Take Down Kentucky All -Stars 78-65
Another All-Star game for 2009 NC State commit, Scott Wood, and another seemingly easy victory. The Indian All-Stars rolled over the Kentucky All-Stars in the Indiana/Kentucky All Star Game 78-65. Scott Wood had 7 points, going 3-9 from the field. If you've been keeping up with Scott, then you'll see that this Indiana All-Star circuit is no joke. These aren't your run of the mill run and gun All-Star games, these are competitive match-ups for pride and bragging rights for who holds the hoop crown in middle America, a place that basketball is king.

In an all-star tournament, and that they even do it on both ends of the court, by playing defense as well, even in this day and time?
Simply amazing.
Maybe the state of Indiana will catch up with all of the "progress" that's going elsewhere in US amateur BB/athletics some day. We can only hope.
I have to say; I think I'm most excited about Scott Wood. I have a feeling that we are going to see some immediate playing time from him. To me, he seems like the type of player who does everything well (kind of a Gugliotta type) who is athletic and possesses a cerebral presence that makes everyone else better.
I think the other recruits are going to be exciting as well but some how Scott Wood seems like the one who got away. Don’t get me wrong, the others are very welcome as well.
Scott Wood's game reminds me a lot of Kobe Bryant. I think he may be the most special player from this class. A guy Wolfpack fans are going to really LOVE.
^ i may not go that far, but Scott Wood is going to be a special player ; )
How much time did he get in this game?
^ Not sure. Most of the time he's playing about 1/2 to 3/4 of the games. Remeber this is an all-star game and everyone needs to log mintues.
Scott wood is a special player.. But come on now Kobe bryant is you drunk lol??
i think mr. anon and his Kobe Bryant comparison are trying to make us look like goofs...

I kind of liked my Gugliotta comparison. Not as tall but has the smarts and ability to do everything well along with a three point shot that's like church music!
Of course, it's far too early...
This the anon, who made the Kobe comment.
I'm NOT saying he is as good as Kobe Bryant. I AM saying that he REMINDS me of Kobe Bryant in some of his skills and style of play. He likes to pull up for shots. He's athletic enough to get to the rim when he wants to and he is long and defensively capable. If you watch the most recent videos of him, he looks quite similar to what you see from Kobe Bryant, in that he will drive and pull up quickly after getting defenders on their heels. That's all I am saying. Sorry, should have been more clear on that. Think about it though. He is considered right up there as possibly one of THE BEST Indiana players this year. That says a lot. Forget the 3 stars thing. And Sidney definitely wouldn't say what he did about Scott Wood being "a VERY GOOD SHOOTER" unless he was something special. He's no Kobe, that's for sure, but I think he is definitely going to be a lot more special for us than people realize at the current moment, especially playing with Julius, who also seems to be a special guy.
Is Scott any kin to Tiger?
"Is Scott any kin to Tiger?"
They have different names. James or Elijah maybe, but not Tiger.
I may wrong, but someone might want to look very closely for information regarding the injury Wood sustained during Sunday's all star game. It really appeared to be a bad knee injury and I will be very surprised to find out it wasn't an ACL.
