I want him. He's a bad man. Those who don't are one of two things: those that are convinced we can't get him, or idiots.

I hope he comes back home to the Pack.

I agree every pack fan should want him to recommit. Only question I have is the talent he is consistently playing in this video small 1A schools usually w/ not alot of great players. Second I notice J Wall is setting him up for most of those dunks, very curious to see how he will do with mostly double teams on him this year. I realize he does play against AAU players, but all school year he will play below average players. And with the way WOG tanked last year and really disappointed everyone in the state with their talent, I wonder if he or JW have the killer winning attitude that is needed in the ACC. Regardless of class, WOG had the best talent in the state and couldn't even win in the lowest league.

I remember when he decommited some rumors were running around about him questioning the talent incoming. Ryan HAS to be offended by this comment so maybe the relationship between the two have been strained, if there is a relationship at all.

Even with that rant, Leslie is one of the best players in the state/nation. I would LOVE to see him keep his promise he made years ago and stay local, even though most reports arnt looking that way.

All I know is: If he goes to Carolina I'm gonna be pretty effing mad! In one of his interviews he acted like he was already buddy-buddy with Roy and that pisses me off. Talking about how they "could have made this happen." Like he's already a lock to be offered by Carolina. It may be true, but who says this stuff? Am I saying I don't like CJ? ABSOLUTELY NOT, but I AM saying that comments like the ones from highschoolhoops.com's interview with him are not very considerate of a school that offered you a scholarship before anyone else did.

CJ if you read this I want you to know two things.

    1. Carolina doesn't care about you. All they care about is winning. The second somebody better comes along, they would snub you like it was no big thing. "Roy doesn't give a **** about Carolina" remember?

    2. If you come to State you're not just another cog in the machine, you are a part of a family that will always be here for you. Our fans will treat you like a brother. There's something very special about that.

In the end, I support Sidney wholeheartedly in whatever he wants to do, but I have to say that there are some recruits who know how to go about things the right way, and others who seem to have a lot to learn. I know they're just kids, but at this point you can tell a lot about the person a kid is going to be by how they treat this recruitment period.

The point I am trying to make is: Let's remember that high character people are what we're looking for, not just talent. And Sid knows that, which is why I LOVE SID. He understands the fans, but he also wants to do it the right way.

Think of all the people we have had that oozed character.>>>>Julius Mays, CJ Williams, Courtney Fells, Ben McCauley, Julius Hodge, Marcus Melvin, David Thompson, Monte Towe, Tommy Burleson, SIDNEY LOWE, Jim Valvano, Herb Sendek (yes, I said it, but NO he didn't understand us fans), Engin Atsur, Gavin Grant, Cameron Bennerman, Justin Gainey, Archie Miller, Vinny Del Negro, Tom Gugliatta, and MANY MANY more. I am not saying that these are the only ones, but these are the ones that come to mind immediately.

We are building a lot more than a team here, we are building a FAMILY. That is the difference between UNC and N.C. State.

His talent level is undeniable. But we have had problems with team chemistry for a little while now, and we are just getting back to the "team first" mentality. With that said I would not be heartbroken if we didn't get him. It's kind of clear he doesn't want to be here. It's not the fact that people are questioning his attitude, it's not the fact that he decommitted, it's not because he fell into a few traps that reporters set for him. It's the sum of all those things. The kid is an absolute beast...but there's more to this game than putting the ball in the hole.

Hopefully this kid recognizes the fact that it was NC State and Sidney Lowe who committed to him very early on, which I'm sure was a huge boost to his self-confidence and actually helped to make him a better ball player.

If he comes to NC State or not, there is NO denying that this coaching staff KNOWS talent and can spot it before most others are aware.

WOW, Leslie has got some skill. He would complement the team perfectly with his size, his agility, the way he runs the floor and list goes on and on. But unfortuntely I don't think he's going to pick NCSU. He's flirting with the big boys and I don't think after he's done flirting around if he wants to come back to his ex.

You got to admit cj has all the athletic ability needed to do whatever he wants. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he decommited for some extra attentionbut we'll see. The thing I've never been able to understand is why so much talent wants to bunch up on each other. With carolina's last two recruiting classes why would I even think of going there. Ed Davis, Tyler Zeller, John Henson, Larry Drew, Dexter Strickland, Reggie Bullock, just to name a few. 5 men play at a time, everyone else sits and waits I don't know but if it were me I would rather lift a program than to just try to fit into one. In my opinion Quinton Thomas could have lived up to his potential had he went to a school that actually needed a point guard, at least he was on a championship team. Choose a program where you can give yourself the best shot to make it to the next level. If JJ Hickson had went to UNC he could be starting next season with Hansbrough leaving but instead he's preparing to win a championship with the king and shaq in his 2nd NBA season. We all know how Roy likes to let his starters shine, how many games were they up by 20 with 2 minutes left and starters on the court. But as much as I dislike UNC I'll root for them the first time this season when they play Kentucky. How many kids lost scholorships there this year? Now I'm not saying you'll can come into raleigh and sit down anyone, but I truly feel your future is a top priority to Sid and he may even be able to use you at 3 with your ball handling skills, but give yourself the best chance to reach your goals,

    glock,

I know what you're saying, but...
you're not going to be very successful at convincing too many HS kids that UNC or Kentucky are bad choices when they hand out an offer. I hate it as much as anyone, but, that's the way it is right now.

The fact of the matter is that Sidney Lowe and his Staff either have to be extremely good, right now, at verbally convincing these kids that there is an alternative, and a place where they're going to become top notch NBA propects, OR, they're going to have to step up the pace and start doing the convincing out on the BB court. Not that a big heaping helping of both of those scenarios wouldn't be greatly appreciated in this particular upcoming WOLFPACK BB season either.

There's time, but whether some of us agree with it or not, the clock is literally ticking on this current arrangement. Oh, and BTW, not that NC State fans would know it, but that's really nothing to be frightened of. That's actually natural, and just THE WAY it is ALWAYS SUPPOSED TO BE in the profession of coaching.

IF he does decide to attend Caro-whine-a You better believe he will get hell every single time he enters the RBC til the time he exits. I can hear the student section now chanting,"Traitor, Traitor" Say what you want about crowds not getting to players, ask JJ Redick if Maryland crowd got to him his senior year....(although I do believe they crossed the line that particular time)

Hey PL, I didn't say we couldn't hate a carolina player. I mean, it might be double in this instance, if that's even humanely possibly, but I'm not trying to offset the balance of the entire universe.
