Earlier this week the Charlotte Observer ran a small blurp on NC State Power Forward Dennis Horner:
"When he's not in the weight room at N.C. State this summer, senior Dennis Horner can often be found at the Hillborough YMCA, coaching first-, second- and third-graders.
“Once I'm done (with college), hopefully I can play basketball a while more,'' Horner said. “But I also hope to coach … and I like working with little kids – they're fun to be around, they're exciting – you get something new every day, and that's the thrill of it.”

Street
I'm pretty sure they meant Hillsborough St. because I've seen Johnny Thomas up there coaching kids as well and I do know the Alexander YMCA has a great relationship with the NC State athletic department.
Horner has always played the game a way Coaches coach the game. You see great players who just run on instincts and play making skills and the coaching staff tend to allow them into to play with in a system.
Players like Horner know absolutely that their best possible chance of contributing to the team effort is to try and follow all the X's & O's and be that glue who holds things together.
good job dennis. sbas2
