Crawford Raising A New Flag

According to EuroBasket.com, former Pack guard Clifford Crawford, who is 28 years old, will be switching teams. Last year Cliff played in Germany with the Kirchheim Knights in the ProA league. Crawford tallied 14.6 points, 4.7 assists and 3.8 rebounds per game. Next Season he will be joining up with the Levice team in Slovakia.

We spoke with Jamie Knox, who represents Crawford, had this to say about the transition:

"It's just an opportunity for him to show what he can do in a different market. Cliff has enjoyed a successful run in the very competitive German market and we feel like it was time to try something outside of Germany. His size, strength and overall playmaking ability makes him a hot commodity, and now he gets to show those attributes in another highly competitive market."

Cliff will join the team in August for tryouts before signing.

I used to play with him, Wilkins, and Grundy at Carmichael, and he was almost always the best player on the court. I never understood why he never quite lived up to his potential at State. Dude would just straight bash on fools in pick up games.

For anyone who wants to see NBA summer league games online tonite, I think I have found a site that will let you stream it for free. Not sure how long it will be up as there is bound to be some legal issues with this, but it's perfectly legal for you to use their streaming capability while they are still allowed to show the games. The site is:http://www.atdhe.net/

Let's go Hodge, Costner, McCauley, and Simmons!

Unfortunately we will not be able to make it up to Durham tonight for the Pro-Am games. If anyone gets up there we'd love to hear an update.

We have Pro-Am video from prior weeks but have been having problems uploading them...we'll resolve it soon and hit you with some nice video of some past and present Pack players.

WPH, why doesn't Julius appear to be playing with the Bulls tonite? He's not on the roster and he isn't dressed out from what I can see at the game.

^ Hmm, we haven't heard anything about Julius being hurt or anything. We'll do some digging and let you know.

Does anyone know what Farnold is up to? His role is getting bigger all the time. Is he healthier than last season?
