NBA Summer League Update (7/17/09)

Last night in a game where the Denver Nuggets beat the Portland Trailblazers 111-93, Cedric Simmons put up an even line of 8 points and 8 rebounds. The eight points marked a summer best for him and his 23 minutes of action were a high as well. While Ced has shown consistency in his game on the defensive side of the ball (7.7 rpg and 1.3 bpg) he has yet to find his rhythm on the offensive side. He is averaging 6.0 ppg while shooting 35.3% from the field and 54.5% from the line. Ced and the Nuggets play the NBA D-League Select team tonight at 10:30pm

The Chicago Bulls picked up their first win of the summer last night, defeating the Oklahoma City Thunder 80-74. While Brandon Costner didn't play in last nights game, expect him to see minutes tonight in a match-up against the Knicks at 6pm.
