McCauley A Pleasant Surprise
While the Lakers might have lost their last game of the '09 Summer League last night, Ben McCauley left a lasting impression. Ben made the most of his time last night, posting a double-double in only 17 minutes of play. In a 77-92 loss to the Rockets, McCauley scored 11 points (3-12 FG) and grabbed 10 boards. Ben continued to be very aggressive on the boards, with half of his boards coming on the offensive end of the court. While he didn't have his best night shooting the ball last night, Ben posted solid numbers over the 5-game span that should spark the interest of some teams around the league. Over the 5 games he averaged 11.8 ppg (51.9% FG), 7.6 rpg (3.4 offensive rpg) in 23 minutes per game. It should also be noted that Ben started in 4 out of the 5 games as well. Ben represented the Pack well in the Summer League and we wish him the best of luck.
