Scott Wood Hoosier Reunion Game Highlights

It looks like Scott Wood's Uncle blessed YouTube with another great highlight reel of his nephew. Scott had 26 points and 9 assists.

For a guy the experts term as an"outside threat" he sure does keep his head up and look at the whole floor for passing lanes well.

With Zo a year away I for one have passed the torch to him as the most likely impact player of the class. Howell is more a blue collar guy who can do dirty work but Scott has all the makings to get great production after catching up the speed and physical nature of college bbal- which he will.

He is better than Jimmy Chitwood.

Looks like a kid that if he had committed to Duke he would have been a top 75 recruit. Since he committed to us early and flew under the radar he didn't benefit from the Nike bias. I can't wait till he gets here personally...

Woods is of the type of heady BB player who can pretty much do whatever it takes. He kind of reminds me of a Matt Harpring type, but with more outside range.

That music was pretty lame and I did turn it down, but actually jerseywolf, I could stand that better than most of the music that accompanies these highlight reels.

    I know, I know, I'm getting old.

Wood = ACC Rookie of the Year.

Called it on July 26, 2009.

    next year hopefully some will
say," Man Pack Leader you were 100% right, he was the best freshman in the league."

Yes I know about Derick Favors and i still stand behind my statement.

He is definitely going to be a great player but in the video Woods team was killing the opponent and while it is great highlights we need to realize that first off. Wood is a very intriguing prospect since we have not had someone with his skillset in a wolfpack uniform in some time. 2 big problems I see with him are

    1. He really needs to add some weight and
    2. I am worried that he will be a defensive liability his first year.

However I can totally see him playing much more then the other recruits(aside from howell) in 09-10 since he brings versality with his 3 point shooting and ability to dribble and drive. I just hope people are not putting too many expectations on him and realize that he will only be a freshmen next year and this is the ACC.

Great video and thanks for sharing. I'm looking forward to seeing Scott in the red and white.

I know this was a Hoosier Reunion game but I didn't see a black players in the video. Were there any black players on the team? Or was it just coincidence that there weren't any? Did Julius Mays play in the Hoosier Reunion game last year?

The music for this video is the theme song for the movie "Hoosiers", as the game is in honor of that movie I felt it was appropriate. As for the music on the other video's YouTube removes all music that is not free play, meaning just about everything.

You must not have watched the whole video. On the last/second to the last play a black kid tries to drive to the basket and Wood swats him.

^Thanks and I must have missed it at the very end. Maybe I missed others but only had time to watch the video once yesterday.

I guess scott's uncle read my comment expressing concern when it comes to rebounding. Scott looks real good and is it just me or has he put on a few pounds. I love to see players his size with passing and ball handling abilities, this can be a match up nightmare for many teams. As much as i hate ESPN when it comes to recruiting i love the fact that they consider him a sleeper in this class. I can't say freshman of the year because there's some impressive recruits in the acc but i'd love to be wrong. Did anyone see on espn when they were going through the recruits when leslie and parker went through they didn't have state listed as schools of intrest. I love being the underdog, makes victory that much sweeter.

Just for info on Scottie - His dad is still taller than son. Big Scott never playin high school ball but playede D-1 with Western Carolina. He was skinnier than son until after he got to Vincennes U then started adding weight slowly. Scott, II will probably take after dad in wgt.
