Update From The Adidas Nations

Just got word from NC State commit Ryan Harrow that Team USA's 2010 team went 1-1 yesterday. They defeated Team Africa in the morning game 102-70 and Harrow had 10 points and 13 assists. In the afternoon game, both of the USA's teams faced off against each other with the young guns stealing the glory. The 2011 squad defeated the 2010 crew 78-73. Harrow had 7 points and 10 assists. That makes three games played in Dallas, and three games in which Ryan Harrow had double-digit assists.

I'm pretty sure this is pretty typical for a kid of his caliber. I say; let the kid play.

Any idea of how many minutes Harrow logged in these games?

When I was his age, I played ball every day for hours. He'll be fine.

    Play on Ryan.

seriously, the kid is 17 or 18 years old. he could play 8 hours a day and still want to play more. keep it up ryan.

Anyone else see Dominque Ferguson commit to Isiah Thomas' FIU? CRAZY. Normally, I wouldn't mention other recruits to other schools, but I am amazed that he dumped so many other elite basketball programs for FIU.

If his feet start getting sore, or he starts to really fatigue then you can be sure they'll shut him down. As far as we know, he's feeling fine and not dealing with any pain. He should be ok to keep on playing as long as he's feeling healthy.

Keep on playing ryan. Remember most of the times at these AAU camps they do drills or skill sets not sprinting or full court ball. I am not familar with this particular camp nor have I played in it but I would bet they dont play more than 2 games a day full speed. At his age esp over the summer he has to be a sponge and soake up every bit of information he can because when its school year he wont be traveling like this he will be with his team and only practicing with them. Top players are known to push themselves in the summer and really see results the next year. Also remember guys when the school year starts for these kids, basketball cant start practicing until October anyway so he will get a semi-break once classes start (Even though we all can be sure ryan will push himself and continue his private workouts)

    Keep pushing keep fighting ryan...

Theres a difference between soreness and pain....

any truth to the rumor that Johnny Thomas is hurt again?

^ We were not going to say anything about this for now out of respect for Johnny, however, the last thing we want is for bogus rumors to start spreading. That being said, I can confirm that he did have a small procedure done and it should not be anything that causes him to miss any practices or games. And for the record, it has nothing to do with his knee.

(out of respect for Johnny, this is all we will say for now...and it really is nothing to worry about at this point.)

WPH, do you know if Harrow's team is playing in the consolation or championship game today? I plan on heading out there if I can find out which game he's in.

    WPH,

FYI, Brooks over at ACC Sports Journal stoked the flames a little concerning Ryan attending another HS next season. It has to do with a former coach of his possibly taking over a big name team (sorry for the mysterious rhetoric, just that it's premium content and I don't want to be that guy)

    Good inside look Jose!

Since I don't pay for, or have any links to "premium" info, I'm thinking, or more like guessing, that it might be Word of God?

You don't have to confirm that if you don't want to Jose, just tell me if I'm warm. Or even better, I'd really appreciate if you told me that I'm HOT!!! My wife doesn't even do that anymore.

his old coach at cannon school was either family or a friend of the family, don't remember which. rumor was that he might end up at WoG, but various people have said it's not gonna happen

his coach at Cannon was his brother in-law, who is reportedly going to be WOG's new coach.

However, at this point there is no plans for him to return to NC and play at WOG...but as you know with these things, there are no sure things.
