Pack Alum Get Things Started Across The Pond (Part II)

Ben McCauley got his professional career in France kicked off this past Saturday. Big Ben put up a stat line that we grew accustomed to seeing here in Raleigh. In 25 minutes, he an efficient output of 14 points (5-9 FG), 6 rebounds and 3 steals. Despite a solid debut, Ben's Stasbourg IG team lost the season opener to Nancy.

After playing one game in Bulgaria, Illian Evtimov decided it was time for a change. He played 9 minutes and had 3 points and 2 steals. We talked with former NC State player Jamie Knox who represents numerous former Wolfpack players, and he informed us that Illian was going to be moving to Cyprus to play on Courtney Fells Proteas EKA AEL Limassol team (Knox represents Fells). We'll have more on this in the near future.

I think Ben is going to find great success playing basketball in Europe, and I'm looking forward to hearing about his experience there. I think it says a lot about State's basketball program that so many former players find a way to stay in the game.

I always thought that Ben gave the best post-game interviews, and I can certainly imagine him in sports broadcasting in the future. Think about it, Ben.

Good lord! What kind of comment could've possibly been deleted that was about Big Ben? My faith in humanity waivers from time to time.

Good luck in everything that you do Ben! You gave your heart to NCSU, and we appreciate everything that you endured and accomplished in your stay in Raleigh. Give 'em hell!

    Go Pack!

    ppack3,

Don't worry, it was a positive comment, I removed it ON MY OWN because of my pitiful typing. I was attempting to make a funny at the end about Ben's team getting beat by "Nancy" and screwed up, so I deleted it entirely, that's all.

I hope Ben's numbers continue to grow, and that he has continued success where ever he may be.

Could you have possibly picked a WORSE picture of Ben?

What kind of message does this send to prospective recruits? "Come play for State, and the Wolfpack blogs will continue use the WORST POSSIBLE PICTURE of you that we have on file -- for years to come!" ;)

^Ha Ha! I have to agree with ^TBK, and not that it matters, not to me anyway, but I started to kid you guys about one of the pictures of TOB. To put it mildly, let's just say it was not one of your more flattering shots of our HC.

haha yeah sorry about the picture, its just that it's the only legal pic we had to use. We're building up our photo gallary now , but past player pics are harder to come by if you're not trying to use someone elses. (The University lets us use the profile pics)
