Brown Officially Inks with Pack

With all the excitement here in Raleigh around the Harrow signing, many may have forgotten that another big time Wolfpack commit also made his decision official. Lorenzo Brown signed his scholarship papers today in the early afternoon at Hargrave Military academy.

Brown did not sign his LOI since recruits can only sign that one time and Lorenzo signed his last season. He did, however, sign his scholarship papers and had them faxed over to the University today. We will have more on Brown's signing later.

Good point WPH. I am just as excited about Zo inking today. I know that some coaches came calling after he failed to qualify. I am super excited that Zo and his god brother will be our backcourt of the future. I know I also saw somewhere that Zo said he is doing well with his classes, so I do not expect any problems on that end. I cannot make it, but Pack fans should go see Zo play this weekend since he will be in NC.

Yeah, I think with all the excitement around Ryan some people forgot about Zo, but not me.

I'm just as excited to have Zo as I am Ryan and to have them come in together is going to be amazing.

Yeah WPH, but what about CJL? Just kidding. I know you put this thread up just for me.

I have a feeling Lo Brown is going to be a very steady and STRONG contributor for the PACK. He has the size and athletic ability to make things happen all over the BB court. I am very antsy to see Lo Brown playing in Raleigh.

This is going to be one helluva of a back court combo!!!

Mark this down - Zo Brown will be better than Ryan Harrow at NC State. Both will be awesome, but Zo will fly completely under the radar coming in a year late. This guy will be awesome.

I haven't weighed in on all of this yet, because I haven't been in a situation where I could post, but I am now! I'll keep it to LoBro and move on to other threads from here.

Lorenzo Brown is going to be part of bringing championships to NC State. It will be a glorious day when another banner is raised in the RBC. Thank you, Zo. Thank you for honoring your commitment, and coming to Raleigh. We all can't wait to see you suit up against the big boys and show 'em what's up!

    Nice and Smooth!

I am looking forward to seeing how some other schools in the area fare in their recruiting. We know UNC is going to pull in big names. Duke, however, is struggling to find an identity right now. I can only hope that Duke suffers an FSU type slide that results in a changing of the guard. Teams are figuring out ways to beat them on a more regular basis, and it's time for a program like NC State to step up with an exciting style of play, and put the challenge to UNC. Sid is doing a phenomenal job in getting top-flight players to see that NC State is on it's way back to National prominence. He relates to the recruits, and to the players. He can relate to fans and is great with the media.

College Basketball is, more than any other sport, a game of talent. If you don't have it, you don't win. If you have it, then it becomes a matter of motivation, heart, chemistry, scheme and hustle. That's why I love this game. That's why I love what Sid is doing. He is bringing in the guys that will bleed Wolfpack Red. They all seem to see what the older Wolfpack fans see in this University. That means that Sid is selling our heritage, our lore, and the ability to bring that back. Thank you, Sidney Lowe.

    Go Pack!

pp3, what you just said, that's EXACTLY why I was completely ESTATIC the first second I heard that Sidney Lowe had been chosen as the new Head Basketball Coach at NC STATE University!!!

It's taken a little time, time that some fans couldn't seem to relinquish, but it IS HAPPENING, and THE WOLFPACK IS ON IT'S WAY BACK!!!

I just saw ONE post on another blog, and it was an anonymous guy, and he didn't pretend to know anything about Zo. He was probably talking out of his rear end. He suggested that Zo might be a BIG "if" for us next year, and suggested that there might "still" be grade problems with him.

It was my understanding that Zo never did have problems with grades. He failed to qualify due to lost credits during a transfer to another school in Georgia. (That's what I heard, anyway...)

Does anyone know anything concrete as to Zo's academic situation? Is that why he failed to qualify? Is it possible he could still have academic issues (if he ever did, I mean...)
