Harrow Spawning Out Double-Double's at the Real Deal

***Update - Got an e-mail from Ryan's mom this morning. Ryan's team lost in the finals and Ryan averaged around 22 points and 11 assists through 9 games down at the Real Deal (4/20/09)

**Update - Just got word from Ryan and they won two games this morning to advance to the Final Four. Ryan had 31 points and 10 assists (4/19/09).

Ryan Harrow has been a double-double machine this weekend down in Arkansas at the Real Deal on the Hill. He has inked double-double's in three out of his four games already. Thus far Team Atlanta is 4-1 in the tournament and they are actually playing at this moment (8am game). I've been texting Ryan back and forth this weekend and he has updated me on some of his stats. On Friday night he had 19 points and 10 assists. Last night he blew up in a big way with a performance of 34 and 13 against what he said was the second best team in the tournament. Ryan and the Team Atlanta squad went up against Luke Cothron's Southeast Elite team yesterday afternoon. We'll try to talk to Ryan soon and get his personal thoughts on the tourney.

    Heck to the yeah, Ryan!!

This is a BIG, big-time national tourney; from east coast to left coast and all the hot spots in between.

I had faith that somewhere between the early to late AAU season Ryan would blow off the barn doors but thought you can't expect too much too soon. I've got to change that tune- this is Ryan Harrow we're talking 'bout (and BEEN recognizing)- now the whole national BBall scene going to see the who the "Real Deal" Ryan Harrow is.

We're excited and so proud of what you're accomplishing young man. Keep it rollin'!

Good to see Harrow doing well. IMO, this tournament is hopefully the beginning to his "coming out" party. He matched up against the #1 PG in 2010 class in Brandon Knight and while they lost, he's been spectacular in the other games. Ironically after dropping double doubles, Telep said he needed to become more of a setup man versus a scorer. Uhhh... last I heard, 13 assists is pretty good for setting people up. Maybe Harrow should just not score xD

Skip what Telep has to say-honestly. He's says great things and acts on his beleifs when it comes to the Carolina Challenge he holds at CA. His words of advice for the prep athletes are a breathe of fresh air.

That said at the end of the day he's Mel Kiper Jr. w/o the jerry curls. Mel would say that at Barry Sanders needed to "stick his nose in the pile" and stop tap dancing looking for the home run. Dave will tell you that Harrow needs to grind out more as a "pass first pg".

Whether you think that Glenn and Telep are UNC homers like me or not, at the end of the day no one cares what Kiper Jr. says once the draft is over.
