2009 NC State recruit and top point guard John Wall did what he could but the USA team could not withstand the onslaught put on by the World Team witch was littered with 6'9 and 7 foot beasts. Serbia's Milan Macvan netted 23 and Lithuania's Donatas Motiejunas poured in 21 as the World 19-and-under team got its first victory in the series since 1998, when Dirk Nowitzki played for the foreign stars.
Although they were defeated, John Wall did not disappoint as he racked up a nice double double of 13 points and 11 assists. Next up for John will be the Jordan Brand Classic which will be held at Madison Square Garden on April 18th. The game is slated to be televised on ESPN2 so you can tune in. Wall has also hinted that he may cut his list down to 2 or 3 at the Classic.

2 Responses to "John Wall and Team USA Shocked by World Team at Nike Summit"Following up on what was posted earlier Larry Drew is OUT if they get Wall. Supposedly his dad is an asst. coach with Grizzlies? or Hawks or somebody and is well connected with some AAU folks around Atl and out west. They dont appreciate Roy "over recruiting" especially when they though LD3 played well given limited mintues..supposedly they are very upset and will transfer PAC10 if Wall goes to UNC, sure will be something to follow...
^ ATLceltic,
Thanks for the scoop. I haven't heard much about this. I wouldnt doubt the Drew's being very angry about this. This would be interesting to say the least...
