Wall to Kentucky

According to numerous media outlets, John Wall, er Brian Clifton has announced his destination. After a long over publicized recruiting battle, John Wall's destination is Kentucky and he will play under Calipari. We are still very proud of our Coaching Staff's effort in recruiting John. Even though we didn't land him, we still believe that our program will benefit in the future from being in the running for 3 of the Top-5 players in the country this year. Let's just go ahead and breathe a collective sigh of relief that this is finally over. We wish John all the luck in the world and hope he has a long prosperous NBA career.

Yes, Finally. We can all move on now.
    "er Brian Clifton.."
    Frustration?
Good luck John. Hopefully, we'll see you in the NBA. Go State!

^^I wouldn't call it frustration, rather I would call it writing with personality. Ha ha. In all seriousness, the reason we wrote that is that from all that we can dig up, Clifton is the one who has announced all of this.

Glad it is over. Sorry, GREAT ANON but it appears your confidence was not well founded.

I, for one, am glad to see he's not coming to State. I suspect he would have been a major distraction and disruptive force on this "team". John doesn't appear to be a team player-it's all about him as the circus surrounding his ultimate decision has made perfectly clear.
We will be just fine with Marion, Indiana's finest-Julius Mays at the point with able support from Javi Gonzalez. The kid did lead his high school team to the state title along with his teammate and incoming Wolfpack frosh Scott Wood. Never underestimate the importance of having high school teammates playing together in college. Seems to me the last time that happened in Raleigh (Whittenburg/Lowe), we ending up with a NCAA championship banner.

Are you at war with statefansnation? They seem to think you manipulate your time stamps to get credit for being the first to post info.

He didn't pick Kentucky, he picked Cal. It was really wherever Cal was he was gonna go no matter what. I mean I can't hate on him because he thinks Cal will help him the most to reach the NBA. He just sees what Rose did and is trying to follow in those footsteps. Good luck to Wall, no ill feelings on my side. He took a long time but its his life and it is a very big decision. Must say though, hopefully Wall loses the excess baggage while at UK i.e Clifton. The only reason Miami was even in the mix at the end with Kentucky and Duke was because of Clifton. I can see why Duke would be appealing as well as Kentucky. But the whole Miami thing was pushed forward a lot by Clifton (for a fact!). Regardless though, best of luck to Wall, unless we play em in the NCAA Tourny ;) Ha, also won't know who to pull for between the UNC and UK game this upcoming season. My two most hated teams UK and UNC

It will be interesting to see how Kentucky does next year with so many recruits that are going to want minutes and the ball (I believe they have 17 scholarship players right now out of the 13 they are allowed). IMO they are either going to be really good or completely collapse because of chemistry problems.

i think players for the most part like to leave home when they go to college. i know john wall stated that he wanted to play near home, but in most cases, players like to leave home. sbas2

Are you asking if we are at war with StatefansNation? No not at all. We have nothing against them and think they do a good job of covering a more broad range of things NC State related.

As far as time stamps go, when we write an article we do not always post it. We can save it as a "Draft" before hitting "Publish" which releases it to the public. The time stamp shows the time that we actually posted the Article as a "draft".

We usually simply post our articles, but in instances when we have information that can't be released until we are giving the go ahead, we write the article and save it as a draft so as soon as we ARE giving the go ahead, we can post it immediately.

Not sure where the idea of us being at war with StateFansNation came from. No qualms here. But, no we do not manipulate our time stamps.

Agreed about Clifton. These AAU coaches are are taking on a role in these kids' lives that is not theirs to assume. Just riding their coat tails. I think it's really sad.

I wish him the best. I was one who wanted him to come here, but hope he does well at UK.

WPH has no need to be at war with statefansnation. they are on the same side as us.... even though they are very negative at times.... still same team!!!

NC State fans are soooo much classier than Duke fans!!! You realize that John wants to play for Coach Cal. Mean while the Dukies and their bloggers are calling him a criminal and now that he is at Kentucky saying that they really didn't want him anyway!(LIARS!!!) I hope State has a wonderful season and kicks both Duke's and Carolina's tails!!! GOOD LUCK!

From a Wildcat fan. DUKE SUCKS!!!!!

Heh heh! A Kentucky fan badmouthing Duke. Imagine that! ;)

(You're not still harboring bitterness over "the shot" by Laettner by any chance, are you?)

But we'll accept the well wishes from you -- and hopefully we'll fulfill your wish this year!

I wish Wall well. I never really though he was coming here, but I definitely was hoping for a surprise. And criminal? Come on, that's just plain silly.

But who knows, maybe it's best that he didn't commit. We still have a very, very solid class. Some hard-working, talented, multi-year winners.

But I'll definitely tune-into some Kentucky games this year. Should be very interesting to see what Cal does with such a high-profile in-coming class.
